A Death Panel looks like this. Truly Kafka-esque. Lately I have been thinking about who actually writes these thousand-page, labyrinthine bills. With a socialist poison-pill on every other page. Certainly not the politicians; they don’t even read them anymore. Must be the congressional staffs. Just who/what are these people?
It’s such a simple clear diagram! Does it describe an organization or a process? BTW where is the patient represented? I wonder how many hours some government employee or contractor spent making this chart. Clearly whoever implemented the chart ought to win some sort of useless prize or title as a Power Point Wizard!
Mike – the people with the next to least authority over health care, the physicians (e.g. “health care providers”) are in the lower left. Those with the least control, the “patients” (or, more correctly, the “pre-stiffs”) are in the lower right.
God help us all.
The short summary: Not even that bureaucracy can bend the cost curve of health care.
