Good review of a good book – perhaps your book should have had pictures – well, I have seen enough of the Baltimore and Detroit ghettoes to use my imagination ….

Hard to have a good solution when the numbers are overwhelmingly against you (in South Africa).

Good review. “Cannibal’s Pot” is a book that nobody but Mercer would have the cajones, literarily speaking, to write. I read it early on and have touted it to all who would listen and have loaned it out to the cheapskates who don’t buy books. I think Mercer is the only one I have noted that understands the dangerous path being undertaken by the US culture. For those with open eyes it’s easy to see the similarities in the South African situation and our own. Good work Mercer. Maybe some people will start to realize what might be coming.
