‘Amanpour’s Dhimmi Documentary.’

Islam,Terrorism,The Zeitgeist

“Clad in her trademark butch safari suits (one kaki; another red), Christiane Amanpour, CNN’s chief international correspondent, took off “in the footsteps of Bin Laden.” In the eponymous documentary, Amanpour proves to be a good track dog, digging up everything from bin Laden’s English teacher in Saudi Arabia, circa 1968, to the minutes of the first al-Qaida meetings. A trailblazer she is not. “In the Footsteps of Bin Laden” is ultimately a dhimmi documentary. Amanpour cleaves dogmatically to the permissible narrative: bin Laden has hijacked, not heeded, Islam. Whenever a Muslim commits odious acts in the name of his faith, these must be deemedpost haste and post hoca manifestation of the inauthentic Islam.” The excerpt is from my new column, “Amanpour’s Dhimmi Documentary.” Read it here.

How can these acts of murder and mayhem in the name of Allah be contrary to Islam? The Koran commands the faithful to kill infidels. More importantly, why do we care? The proof is in their actions. What actions? They’ve killed thousands of Americans in recent years and we still natter on about whether they are nice Muslims or naughty Muslims. While we debate something about which we know nothing, really, which is the ins and outs of Islam, they are sitting around a fire somewhere drinking coffee and munching dates while they hatch some new plan to kill thousands more of us because we aren’t Muslims. [To be fair, it is made worse by our aggressive foreign policy.]

When will this country get some backbone and start to really fight. I believe we try to cover up our cowardice by participating in these endless debates about “good” Islam and “hijacked” Islam.

The U.S.: Land of the free and home of the brave? We’re free as long as we don’t say something unpleasant about our enemies. Brave? What an interesting concept.

Extreme devotion might inspire a tiny number of a certain type of wealthy Christian to undertake a mission of mercy to the Sudan, as you noted. It might also inspire terrorism against reproductive health clinics or mass suicides of whole congregations. This fact might be of rhetorical value if I were formulating an unsophisticated attack on Christianity. But I’m not interested in that.

Where did you find De Tocqueville’s quote? It’s curious his 19th century remarks are so pertinent today. I think truth is constant.

The politically correct view of islam is a classic example denying the truth if it is not what it is wished to be. I didn’t know that De Tocqueville had written anything on islam and I didn’t have any facts until I started studying this subject after 9-11. Religion of peace? The dirty little secret is that this is true only if you are a muslim. We have been warned, and we have just lost a brilliant, articulate source of the truth about this 7th Century Death Cult: Oriana Fallaci. For years she had sounded the alarm against the islamic invasion of her homeland and she was repaid with threats of criminal prosecution. Even in her last years, though riddled with cancer, she never backed down to her critics.

The truth is out there; Craig Winn’s excellent, well researched book, “Prophet of Doom”, describes the development of this cult and contains documentation that cannot be ignored. There are many others like Robert Spencer and Bat Ye’or who are getting the truth out. Apparently Pope Bendict XVI knows what we are up against, and it will be interesting to see if he is cowed into silence. I just wish I knew what it takes to get people to accept the truth and act on it.

I would like to elaborate on a previous blogger’s message (Steve Brazil).
The truth about Islamic scripture and Muhammad cannot be ignored. Today, most of our political leaders, clergy, media and academicians are deaf, dumb and blind when it comes to this vital – life or death – subject.
Craig Winn has written an excellent book, available free online, entitled: “Prophet Of Doom, Islam’s Terrorist Dogma In Muhammad’s Own Words“.
This work provides the reader with the most comprehensive, contextual and chronologic presentation of Muhammad’s life and the genesis/evolution of Islam.
Please check out this very important work.

Instead of the truth, we have the former President Khatami giving speeches at Harvard. Next week, the Muslim Nazi, Amadinejad, will be addressing the UN.
It is high time to throw the UN out of the U.S. Let it be move to Paris or Geneva. Think of all the available parking in mid-town Manhattan.
