Then politicians announce that they do not work and need either: (1) to consider “comprehensive amnesty” and/or (2)some idiotic internal surveillance program where ordinary Americans get treated as if this country is one giant airport (e.g. TSA style).

It is possible to build and staff a real border wall (in fact, a certain middle eastern ENTITY did it as did various European countries a couple decades ago).

You know — providing water, food, shelter … voter registration …

There are so many ways one could go with “POLITICAL PARTICLES IN MOTION, SUSPENDED IN GAS”. What a great line! I think Brownian motion is a good description of this. The temerature must be rising with the coming of the midterms.

Border patrol? US Marines or the French Foreign Legion. None of it matters if the leadership isn’t committed to getting the job done. This is nothing but posturing. If they do allow the troops to be effective I’ll wager they slack off as soon as the national spot light goes on something else. Perhaps, since so many people are fed up with the intolerable situation on the border, as well as in the cities up north or in the midwest this situation won’t be allowed to go back to the status quo.
