I had wondered why the best song on the album lacked so much substance. I liked the chord progression when I heard clips of the song, and was left disappointed.

Unfortunately, I don’t think that Joe Satriani will win. Attempting to convince the average American of simple logic is hard enough, without getting into anything as complicated as chord progression

On Sunday I ate breakfast at a friends house with her early 20s children and three of their friends. The music they were listening to was all from the 70s. I wondered, “Don’t they have any music of their own?” I’ve heard of Cold Play but never listened to their music until now. In answer to the question, it’s not likely they would drag out Cold Play to impress me. Their “music” is too vapid to criticize. Heaping scorn and humiliation on anyone listening to this garbage would seem polite.

Unfortunately Satch, A personal favorite of mine since I first heard the “Crush of Love” in the late 1980’s, will be dependendent on a brain dead jury of his “peers” to decide. These things are hard to prove, as was the invention of the wheel. Although personally I am quite sure Satch was ripped off.

Coldplay are the audio version of Valium. But typical of the “acts” that get deals in Britain- there’s no guitar heroes etc from here anymore, and this is a country that has produced more than its share. Now it’s all singing about one’s rentboy and “emo” rubbish. Or, indeed, “boy bands”, who can hardly play a record player, never mind an instrument. Rock is dead, indeed.

I don’t doubt they’ll lose the lawsuit or settle out of court. They’re so stupid, they probably thought no one would know Satch’s work. In their audience, they’re right. Like Obama, Coldplay is a media creation bereft of substance.
