The Ft. Hood terrorist attack is unlikely to get congressional attention nor are the so called “climate gate” revelations. That obviously stated, the unauthorized intrusion by a couple of reality show yahoos into a White House function attended by the president and other heads of state is no joking matter either. While there’s little doubt that Michelle’s $113K per year “special assistant” and “belle of the ball”, Desiree Rogers, is at the center of all this, a congressional hearing into the thing is not out of place – funny, I never heard of the “separation of powers” privilige before. At least since 1963, open public access to our dear leaders has been rightfully restricted. …hey Stephen, try to control yourself. While not strictly detailed in her bio, I have to believe that Ilana has allowed herself to be spoken for by now. No doubt her use of “ponces” was clever, but you’re not really “still laughing” are you? – “mashy niblick” – now I’m still laughing!

Ilana, Absolutely brilliant! A party of ponces? I’m still laughing. Of course, we must have investigations. Congress gets more committee staff money for that. And we must find out who dares to approach The Magic O without permission. Besides, we need distractions from what congress is really up to … and not up to. Hey! How about those email hackers? And Tiger Woods? Let’s get that wife of his in front of a congressional committee and find out if she used a driver or a mashy niblick. As Steve Allen used to say, everything is ridiculous.

There was a time when a political figure with such a shady background and such shady acquaintences not only couldn’t get elected president he probably couldn’t even get elected dog catcher. (The dogs would probably all bite him). What is really disturbing is not only does the average American not know the facts about the rogues gallery surrounding the president most of the average voters don’t really care.

As gun clinging bible thumpers are the only threat to the Homeland this all stands to reason but leads one to wonder what would have happened had Hasan shown up instead. I’m betting had he turned up in his punjabu suit, aka shalwar kameez, he would have been welcomed as a politically, culturally, and religiously diverse addition to the shindig.
