Sadly, I was unable to see the Hannah Giles nonsense (link did not work) – but the Republicans are up to their usual Watergating. It is why I don’t get orgasmic over unprincipled sorts like Scott Brown beating the Democratic jerks – it is just the ebb and flow of various Big Government Hacks.

Giles and O’Keefe are just the next generation of “conservative” Constitution Shredders waiting to seize power.

I suppose tonight will be a big Bru-ha-ha over the State of the Union boring teleprompter Messianic garbage. Gene Healy has a good perspective on this:

O’Keefe should have dressed in a business suit, walked in with a briefcase, declaring he was a Goldman-Sachs exec. wanting to donate one hundred thousand dollars to Landrieu. He would have received VIP treatment.

What made the ACORN exposé so delicious was the demonstration of fools exposing dullards, but even that shouldn’t get you more than the fifteen minutes of fame allotted everyone by Andy Warhol. And celebrity inflation, being what it is, makes fools pretty much superfluous.
