If not it’s a brilliant ploy. I lived in Minnesota for some years and basically the natives are liberals living in the usual leftist dream world. By claiming to be a Muslim Ellison naturally appeals to the elitist, “hate America” crowd so prevelent in the upper midwest. He can now make all the outrageous statements he wants to while indulging in the usual posturing and will probably be re-elected for life. For sure, nobody in the MSM is going to dispute him or actually dig for the truth.
