The “Debate” Circus: Perry came off as a real arrogant horses’ rear … so I assume he probably came out “ahead”. Ron Paul got sucked into a silly Rockwellian argument seemingly defending Al Queda’s motivations in an academic nit fight with Santorum on “9/11”.

All the candidates were asked about the Federal Reserve except – Ron Paul! Michelle went at Perry on the HPV immunization and Mitt went after him on free tuition for illegal tresspassers. Mitt kept his cool and Huntsman played nice.

None of the candidates (who were asked) would repeal the Bush Prescription Drug Plan – a good acid test of the GOP hypocrisy (Obama socialism = bad but Bush socialism = good).

Myron I suspect that you and I could swap some whopper stories about who get and doesn’t get funding. Another favorite of mine is be asked to help out on a problem essentially provide the solution to the problem and find out some time later the individual or indivuals have taken your advice solved the problem and then hear about how they solved the problem with my solution!

Just curious do we make our own ink, etc to print all the moeny we’ve been printing? Between gold and the printing press ink maybe some real money could be made!

You know I may not agree with Ron Paul on everything but, he sure makes a lot of sense on most issues, particularly limiting the size and scope of the American Government.

I guess I will watch “nut” Ron Paul in the Arena of Fools tonight. I was looking up the famous Ghandi quote when I found this Youtube video from 2008:

The famous quote being: “First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win.”

I think in my personal case (of research ideas), it will be amended to: “”First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then they steal ideas and you watch them win.” This has happened already and I expect to happen again. But, I have to confess, I’d rather be right (that’s a Henry Clay-ism). My guess, in fact, is that Ron is not out fighting in the Arena of Fools so he can ride Air Force One and have his face carved on Mount Rushmore – he is doing it because he has principles (an idea foreign to Mitt and company)!

The day that some “mainstream” Perry/Bachmann/Romney/Obama/Clinton actually devolves federal power like a constitutional classically liberal libertarian is the day that WE ALL WIN. In the meantime, you just keep fighting the fight!
