Multiplying by 300 million (the approximate U.S. population), we get a little over $2 trillion. The free-spending Obama administration, no doubt, considers that pocket change. However, as Myron Pauli implies, extending Congressional health benefits to the U.S. population is tantamount to extending them to the population of the entire planet, our government being incapable of controlling the borders. The cost is incalculable.

[And, of course, no one on this site would ever suggest that.]

But, assuredly, the solution is not to extend this to the entire planet – unless one is in a big hurry to move this country into hyperinflationary bankruptcy at an even FASTER pace than it currently is on (even without so-called “national health insurance”). Leave it, of course, to Republicans to try to out-stupid the Democrats.

There is a physician in Congress with a better health care philosophy (not “a plan”) based on individual liberty, free markets, and responsibility…. – and his name is somewhat similar to mine.
