As Michelle Malkin describes it – lots of fatwas and firebombs. To me, these are in a way the least disturbing aspect of the reactions to Pope Benedict’s speech. Muslims will behave as Muslims typically do. Imagine my surprise.

The more disturbing reactions are those within our own civilization who have effectively allied themselves with the global jihad. Included in this group are many so-called “conservatives” who support the alleged war against jihad being waged in Iraq. The hard left (like the Duranty Times, et al) are no different from the Imams in the sense that their reaction is – like that of Muslims – completely predictable. They will routinely denouce Benedict for his “intolerance”, “racism”, and “Islamophobia.” (Yawn)

The most disturbing thing is the reaction from the supposed defenders of our civilization. What have we heard from the White House, from 10 Downing Street, or from Paris? Angela Merkel, to her credit, at least offered some defense of Benedict. Of course, since the renowned Imams Toni Blairistani and Jorge al’Dubya (the Mahdi from West Texas) have already repeatedly informed us poor dumb dhimmis that Islam is really “a religion of peace”, I guess I should not be that surprised by their complete non-reaction either.

It’s way past time for some serious regime change here in the Dar-al-Harb, be it in Israel or in Iceland.

[Superbly put]
