All along I had a strong feeling that Israel would do something before Hussein Obama was sworn into office. Although Obama has made statements that indicate he approves of Israel's self defense, he really is acting out a lie in front of the camera by saying this.The ramifications to the Gaza have far more reaching applications, namely Iran. The new administration coming in soon will be a obstacle to Israel. Israel knows this and this is very likely the reason this is happening as we speak. Whatever the reason, Israel must not stop now and cave into the pressure from the anti-Semetic world. Hamas needs to be dealt the coupe de grace now, as well as Iran. Martin Berrow

But as has been shown in the 2nd update, it seems more like a political move than one out of common sense. If Livni wins the elections we may expect more Israeli self-flagellation. I hope I’m very wrong in either case.

Its beyond hightime that Israel strike back hard against Hamas the other assorted aggressors in the Gaza. To the best of my memory, no other nation has been so hamstrung by global opinion in defending themselves. I say strike hard and long until Hamas is little more than an oil slick in the eastern Mediterranean sea.
