Unless we really need to invade some country for some good reason we should stay out. Yes, I mean Iraq and Afghanistan too. But, as far as seeing matters from both sides I think that is wise and logical. However our leaders usually end up bending over and gripping their ankles in front of the enemy in the name of seeing things from both sides.

He always has been his entire political career. He chose Arizona to enter politics because he could run on his war record there (many retired veterans live in AZ). During each campaign, he panders to the conservatives. Once safely reelected, he does whatever he wants in office. His voting record is actually more liberal (left) than either Clinton or Obama. The individual health insurance mandate in ObamaCare actually came from McCain. He proposed the same thing for HillaryCare in 1994. He has also been in the tank on global warming since at least the mid 90’s and he also wanted to bring back conscription. McCain also made statements around ’03 or ’04 that he expected our military foray in the Middle-east (Iraq, Afghanistan) to expand into a WWII-style conflict that would ultimately involve up to 5 million U.S. soldiers in the Middle-east.

McCain cannot be considered an “conservative” by any definition of the word.

But, what are we doing over there? What do we hope to accomplish? Any takers to a bet that whatever the final outcome is it won’t be good for the US. Like everything else Obama has master minded.

McCain is, sadly, the Republican “problem” in nutshell. If we actually had one “socialist” party and one “capitalist” (e.g. free enterprise, not crony capitalism) party – we would be far better off than having a leftist Democratic party going up against hypocrites and warmongers who occasionally (but insincerely) pose as friends of freedom. McCain is the GOP poster boy! I have no regrets about him losing.
