Many American citizens have joined the military for patriotic reasons; many joined for the specific reason of a sincere patriotic response to the 9-11 terrorist attacks; unfortunately, despite the sincerity of their patriotism, they have been misled by the false belief that 9-11 was an Al-Qaida action, when in fact 9-11 was a “False-flag” conspiracy orchestrated and conducted by the United States government, for United States totalitarian geo-political reasons, and the lying myth of Al-Qaida, perpetuated by the Government and the Establishment news media. And yet it is a mystery: the destruction of the Twin Towers was prophesied in the Book of Revelation, chapter 11. The 9-11 demolition of the World Trade Center buildings was an “Inside Job”, which is also the title of one of the many books written about the 9-11 Government conspiracy. Hitler’s Germany invaded Poland in 1939, after a very small “False-flag” attack, in which a small number of German soldiers had pretended to be Polish soldiers, attacking Germany. Hitler’s Germany and World War Two was also prophesied in the Book of Revelation, which is Jewish book, written by a Jewish-Christian, almost two thousand years ago, but since then almost completely ignored by Jews; similar to Old Testament Jewish sometimes rejection of prophecy. People who do not know history, are condemned to repeat the past history; and who do we have to blame, except ourselves and our lying Government and the lying news media and the lying education system. People who do not know the truth of Biblical prophecy, probably do not believe in Judgement Day.

I love the America I grew up with a product of the baby boomer generation. I remember with pride Israel winning the 6 day war. There is so much to do to make this country aright once more and so much against it. I am a school teacher in Harlem for 23 years [bravo] now, and love my kids and learned the art of humor and glad to have made a facebook friend of you. [Ditto] I'm not a liberal, because the word is a misnomer not for liberty but the sustenance of boated ineffective bureaucracies that suck the blood of the entrepreneur and the spirit of freedom that made this nation so great. I like that you share the ideas of the libertarian. I think many of our wars have started on noble ground but get corrupted by vested interests. I am from Detroit (yes, in the city!), grew-up there, over the years I have lived in 7 – 10 different U.S. cities spread across the entire U.S. and have been to numerous others for business… DETROIT is the poster child for your initial comment. My opinion is unless one is a multi-billionaire who will invest there and has access to a dedicated crew of entrepreneurs who will reside there, Detroit and similar cities only have a fine sliver of a chance to survive and prosper.

The particular incident you described in update II touched close to home of one of my co-workers. She lost her cousin to that particular incident/murder. It was sad to read the obituary. Career military who had been recently married. Fortunately no children were left behind. She was 35 years old. When is the empire madness going to end?

American inner cities are riddled with decay, crime, and utter ignornace in its “schools” – our finances are tottering with bankruptcy – and our Southern border is an apparent mess … and so we fight in Afghanistan. The bipartisan “mainstream media” tells us of “progress” in Year 10 (we are “training” the Afghans who apparently are extremely slow learners when fighting with the US/NATO and extremely fast learners fighting against us!) …. and the Obamas, Bushes, McCains, Romneys, Palins, Clintons, Bidens, and Pawlentys bark on how the $300,000 / year Blackwater contractors in Afghanistan are fighting for our “freedom” (which is somehow endangered by some bucktoothed Pushtuns 12,000 miles away) ….

It is all rather surreal.

Thank You so much for having the courage and intelligence to post this!! I am SICK & TIRED of the stupid and BLIND PATRIOTISM that is overruning in the USA. I have been a US citizen since Day ONE and am really irritated at the incredible level of ignorance and stupidity of the typical American. The endless and totally unjustified wars are just sickening and MUST STOP. I personally do not celebrate Memorial Day because to a large drgree it has become more and more of a “fraud”. I can’t stand the fact that people just keep buying into these “endless wars” without questioning them. WHY??

I work with young people in the military every day. Quite often I will ask them why they enlisted. Most of the time it is “for the education benefits”. Very few tell me they enlisted to serve their country.
