I am not as certain of the wisdom of dropping 500 lb. “smart” bombs on wedding parties – especially if the “intelligence” behind it is completely dubious. When the West uses Islamic “informants” for intelligence, it should realize that many either lie, delude themselves, or have revenge agendas on other Moslems and hence their “intel” product should be treated with skepticism.

I also appreciated your reference to the ancient Greek myth. How many know what “a choice between Scylla and Charybdis” means? I was fortunate to have studied Greek mythology in the 7th grade, but that was more than 30 years ago. I have no idea whether our students today are learning anything about the ancient (Western) world in school.
