Israel must act in its own interests. Obama is good for negotiations , but he has to start soon ,or it will be to late. Iran can not be allowed to have nuclear weapons. That is what Obama said. now is the time to talk about how we are going to confront Iran on this decision. If we are not going to stop Iran, we have to let Israel confront Iran. How best to do this is of course up to Israel .

They told us that his personality would make the Europeans more cooperative and the Muslims less hostile. Shock and surprise, the Europeans are no more cooperative as they are (semi) sovereign states that have their own interests to pursue and those interests trump any fanfare over Americas “post-racial” president. Obama’s personality hasn’ won us any allies among the Muslims. In fact it seems like many of them think that they are the ones who have won an ally, with the son of a black Muslim in the white house.

1. It has many friends in the US.
2. It has nukes.

It would really be nice to see what true economic liberty could accomplish.

Switzerland with nukes.

Like people, nations need to take care of themselves – if anyone wants to give them charity, then do so, but do not expect nor ask for anything in return.

[Remember though that aid is a tiny part of Israel’s GDP. Israel haters like to depict the country as though it would not survive sans aid. It would thrive.]
