So, Obama pretty much spelled out his belief that all wealth belongs to the government (i.e. him), which then graciously allows us to keep some of it? The next time someone objects to calling Obama a “socialist”, we can point out that his policies – hostility to property and inheritance (death tax) and heavy progressive taxation – are straight out of the Communist Manifesto.

As for the willingness of people to harm others, even if they themselves come to harm in the course, that’s been folk wisdom in my neck of the woods for centuries; we call it “May the neighbor’s cow drop dead” mentality.

I doubt Obama will understand what has happened when there is no more wealth to plunder, no investment, no expansion, no jobs, and no money to feed the bull dog. He will suggest raising taxes and spending more fiat money. This is what the Left calls investment. Tax cutting they call spending. We’re not talking in the same terms or understandings. Words have real meanings and then they have political meanings. In either case, the consequences for us commoners is real enough.

Reagan had a great quote about liberals: It’s not that liberals don’t know anything. It’s just that so much of what they know isn’t true.

You can’t take wealth away from people when they no longer have any and can’t get any. The great failure of Marxists is that they don’t understand why their theory doesn’t work, and they just keep believing in it. In some circles this is the definition of insanity.

I would note that ‘stupid’ has layed claim to more souls than just Obama’s. Paul Krugman 08/22/10 op-ed Now That’s Rich re the Bush Tax Cuts: ”How can this kind of giveaway be justified at a time when politicians claim to care about budget deficits? From the ‘I have seen the future and it works’ file comes this They’ve settled the science of ‘global warming’ once and for all. Now they’ve settled the economics of what’s ‘mine’ and ‘thine’. Any questions?

Perhaps our Messiah understands Orwellian Newspeak all too well: “War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength”. Tax credits are “deserving relief” to people like my overseas grandnephews who pay ZERO taxes. Tax cuts are undeserving “giveaways”.

Nevertheless, I will state my SUPPORT FOR TAX INCREASES on: managers of bailed out companies, executives at companies doing more than 40% business with government, Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac executives, publicly-financed stadium “owners”, class-action lawyers, and other leeches of the Moocher-hideen. I also support tax increases on all those who favor MORE SPENDING – Buffett, Gates, Soros, and all the pro-Afghan/Iraq warmongers who should pay for their own Holy Neocon Crusade.

When I was a child, there was a wonderful satirical cartoon called Rocky and Bullwinkle where the evil Boris Badenov threatened to spray “goof gas” on the Capitol. After 5 minutes of depicting Congress, co-fiend Natasha turned to Boris and said “Dahlink, ve are too late!” Sadly, the boundaries between capitalism and socialism, private and public, have gotten so hopelessly entangled that liberty may also be “too late”. Statist America may have to ride the Titanic of Bush-Obammunism to the inevitable iceberg of default and pray that freedom can recover from the wreckage.
