I hear all the criticisms of the system and the political parties and agree with nearly all. But, we need to do all we can to fight the Democratic party and the Republican party is all we’ve got. The thing that gets to me is I hear deep and sharp observations about the lay of the land but don’t hear any ideas about what to do about these things. there are some smart people who contribute to this blog and I would be certainly interested to hear what some of these folks consider to be solutions.

The Republican use the Tea Party enthusiasm to get out their vote and the Democrats use Tea Party phobia (eeeek racist nutcases!) to get out their vote.

Tomorrow is also the birthday of Carl Ditters von Dittsersdorf whose harp concerto entertained me the other day.

Sadly, he is long forgotten and neglected. So one day will Nancy Pelosi and Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney and Rahm Emanuel – but we might get sunk by their stinking deficits. Worse, who knows what monstrosities may happen if/when the whole House of (Federal Reserve) Cards collapses?

The main controversy in America’s outpost of The Statist Leviathan (Washington DC) is over the benching of quarterback Donovan McNabb:

which is a controversy at a higher level of intellectual sophistication than the TV comics who run political rallies.

Maybe I’ll just YouTube some Dittersdorf tomorrow night rather than finding out which band of criminal hacks gets to choose the next Speaker of the House.

What was that little bit that H.L. Mencken said about an endless parade of hobgoblins, all imaginary, again?

On an unrelated note, why is it that I am inclined to think that someone who is afraid to use their real name and utilizes a homosexual slur to characterize people is really more concerned about the programs being cut than they are about the contradictions of a movement’s participants? I always get a kick out of progressive clowns who cannot tell the difference between the neocons and the people who are serious. The Tea Party has both groups within it, which is why Paul Gottfried will ultimately be proven right. A good chink of it will most certainly be co-opted by the GOP, just as the Democratic party did with the now-largely-silent “peace” movement.

I call it po and beggin in America. For the life of me, I don’t understand how any executive would think that type of programming is a winner. Add in the “flimsy” soft voiced Don Lemmon and all you get is low ratings.

I think after the election when the tea party canidates have betrayed their supporters, politics in America heading into 2012 will be, if nothing else very interesting.

I think we ought to blast the Tea Party folks every chance we get. Let’s take a grass roots movement of millions of people who are taking a stand, probably the first time for most, and speaking up for the country. But I guess most of them aren’t as politically sophisticated as you seem to be.

I thought it was an accurate portrayal of TBagger’s who while sucking off entitlement programs (like over 50% of TBaggers), want to cut them. While they talk of cutting Big Government Back Door Deals, they benefit from them. O’Donnell doing it illegally.

Contradictions, contradictions.

[This is indeed true, as I illustrated in “Statism Starts With YOU!”—IM]
