For Patriots to take back anything and regain all of the ground we have lost, up to the point of losing our nation, we will have to employ love and compassion as our driving force, as maybe it should be. 20 years after the end of the cold war, America has become a “democracy spreading” empire expanding without any self-restraint. 10% of our Gross Domestic Product is for borrowing for ever-expanding government. Prices for basic commodities are rising while the Federal Reserve pumps trillions in an effort to “stimulate” the economy. The free enterprise system has been irreparably eroded by (quasi-fascist) crony corporations micromanaged by hundreds of thousands of unaccountable and unconstitutional “regulations” not even passed by Congress.

HOWEVER –

What could possible be more important in 2012 other than a Kultur-Kreig between Pope Santorum and Archbishop Limbaugh and the “abstinence education prayer-in-school” mob versus the Messiah Obama and Prophet Maher and the “government provided condoms Heather-Has-Two-Mommies” mob?????

Ilana incorrectly believes in “individual rights” – a quaint, treasonous, and outdated concept. America is a “SOCIETY” and the voters must decide how WE all think. WE have the freedom to choose our dictator every 4 years who gets to decide OUR rules – OUR medical care, OUR toilet bowls, OUR lightbulbs, OUR retirement plans …. our – us – we – America – what the hell is an individual right? Didn’t WE all read Orwell? Long live Big Brother!

“he only point here is that no taxpayer, coerced by Congress, should be compelled to pay for Fluke’s personal choices, good or bad.” That’s what I thought I said in “It is not my responsibility to pay for her precautions or lack of them when she has an abortion. The issue Rush was arguing was in regard to the churches that do not believe in using artificial means of preventing pregnancy having to pay for someone who does.” I didn’t know I was preaching to anyone by that comment.

Honestly, Limbaugh misses the point completely here. This isn't about whether Fluke has sexual relations or not; it's whether she should be able to force other people to pay for it. Simple enough.

It’s not that Rush isn’t entertaining; Bill Mahler is entertaining as well. I’ve heard both and Rush is right more often than his counterpart. I don’t listen or watch either one; because neither one have taste. The point of most issues deal with individual responsibility; abortion could be eliminated if women only took precautions. It is not my responsibility to pay for her precautions or lack of them when she has an abortion. The issue Rush was arguing was in regard to the churches that do not believe in using artificial means of preventing pregnancy having to pay for someone who does. This promotes the concept that you have to keep me in booze, because I like my wine. Instead Rush has to make porn comments. Liberty lost the point more than Rush.

I guess I’m an asshole, hater and/or really stupid. I listen to Rush daily and usually agree with him 100%. Yes, his style is often abrasive and in some cases it hurts his message, as in this case. But, as in this case, his message is usually correct. Those of you who can’t follow the meaning need to pay attention to content and get past delivery. We can’t all communicate like William F. Buckley. Sometimes we need to call a spade a spade and other times we should call it a bloody shovel. I’m just a red state rube so I’m not elite enough to trash a soldier fighting on my side just because he doesn’t talk like Lord Mountbatten.

Was listening to Rush rehashing this today, and the image in my mind was “El Rushbo” dropping a lighted match into a gasoline-soaked D.C. Conservatives have little political energy and capital to spare, and it’s burning feverishly as we speak over this ridiculousness. Very unwise. .

In Conservative partisan Fox-Limbaugh world, nasty equals brilliant.

I was on Facebook pointing out that people should pay for their own sex lives and this socialist (by his own admission) wrote his tearful tale of how expensive “reproductive services” is and I wrote that since so many people agree, they can freely donate to a charity to provide the poor with contraceptives just as I gave $ 5000 to the Salvation Army to provide the poor with meals.

His response was so typical of these culture warriors denouncing the Salvation Army as “homophobic religious bigots” and I responded that as far as I know, the Army does not refuse a cup of chowder or a bed in cold weather to gay atheists. That only got him railing how libertarians/conservatives are all hypocrites since we “reap the benefits” of government. I said that the lion in the zoo might eat the food from the zookeeper but he’d rather be free, all the same (same with slave living in the shack provided by the master)….

But when it comes to culture warriors (secular left or religious right), it is MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY and logic/principles be damned.
