That said, I never had anything but contempt for Michael Jackson, from first time I heard him. I am the same age, and when he was a child star, I cringed every time I had to hear him sing, knowing that it was a boy my age singing like that. It only got worse as time went on.

I didn’t judge his guilt or innocence in that case based on that visceral reaction, but I sure wasn’t surprised to hear it when charges were brought, either. His voice, his music, and his dancing moves had made me think him capable of it since the beginning (I may not have been alone in that thought, I guess). If I’d been picked as a juror, that would be one time I’d have to try to disqualify myself.
