The county to the East of me is approximately that size. The county to my west will hold almost three Israel’s (2300 sq. miles) Add my county (400 sq. miles) and we have room for the territories. Yet we have this earth shattering, future world at stake crisis? The Jewish population worldwide is approximately fifteen million people in a world population of 6.4 Billion. My calculator doesn’t have that many negative numbers to show how small a percentage they are. Religious numbers are even more miniscule. Yet the fate of the world depends on the Palestinian people having a state of their own, when the Palestinians reject statehood because it has to recognize Israel; so the whole statehood question has to be a farce. Or if we have two or more GOP members in congress it determines the existence of Israel. Someone has to get real here.

But what other option is there? To paraphrase the analogy that is doing the rounds, the pizza is being eaten before their eyes. Many states dispute their territorial outline; Israel will not define its own either. Still, how to rein in their militants after achieving a rise in status is another problem for the Palestinian state, and how to restart elections with the almost intractable divisions in the political sphere there. As for the need for immediate Israeli withdrawal once pronounced—I don’t expect to see it any time soon. AFAIK the Golan Heights haven’t been resettled by Syrians recently.

Imagine suffering from the effects of a large boil on your equally large gluteous maximus. The Palestinians are the reincarnation of that boil on the gluteous maximus of the world.

Where do they propose to put this “Palestinian State”? The West Bank is conclusively colonized by Israel, with the Palestinians efficiently ghettoized; Gaza is a free-fire zone. Suspend it on balloons 500 feet in the air? There will be no Palestinian State so long as Israel exists, and Israel will continue to exist so long as pro-Zionist politicians continue to rule America. And, for the time being, any doubts about that continuance have been removed by the recent election result in NY 9.

The problem with the resolution is that it also created a “Zionistic Entity” where Jews were allowed to live!

As Yogi Berra would say, it is deja vu all over again.

One needs only to look at the fate of Gaza the moment Israel evacuated to see what a PLO/Fatah/Hamas country would be. It might make Zimbabwe look like paradise. Maybe one day Charles Manson can have a country of his own as well!
