It’s the old Kantian thesis-antithesis-synthesis game again.

The government destroys our economy, then takes advantage of the situation to create a new ‘right’ to the product of someone else’s efforts.

When they all get ‘reasonable’, we will end up with another marginal increase in government power, inevitably one that augments the virtual monopolies of the quasi-governmental insurance companies (who already administer Medicare and Medicaid) and drug companies who are financing this push.

No one wants to restore a free market in medical care more than I do, but, having lived all my life in America, I understand that most opposition to Obamacare is not philsophical. Rather, it’s based on the fear of various groups of beggars and pilferers that their share of free goodies from Uncle Sugar will be diminished. To restore a free market in medical care, or anything else, we’ll need to disenfranchise millions of government dependents. This will be a hard sell to those being disenfranchised, not to mention the sleazy politicians who cater to them.

A quotation attributed to various eighteenth century philosophers states that a democracy can endure only until a majority of the citizens discover that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury. Clearly, American democracy won’t endure much longer. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.

HE will not sign a plan that “adds one dime to our defecits”. Instead, he will add several trillion dollars to the defecit – but since a trillion dollars does not equal one dime, he is correct!

Notice that it is OUR defecits – I have no way to opt out of this collective bankruptcy brought on by the socialistic cabal.

I missed the speech but discussed it with some friends. Apparently, the Republicans (response) “look good” only when they are OUT OF POWER and opposing the democrats.

All of this is pure collectivism. We are just all indistinguishable atoms in some collectivist goo run by lobbyists and messiahs. The only person in singular is Messiah Great Leader Obama – everyone else is one of “millons” – part of OUR defecit, OUR system…
