As part of the BRIC countries, India will most likely play a larger role in the world economy. While there were others I think he should have picked instead, I don’t think that India was a horrible choice.

The Heritage Foundation is right to place emphasis on Sino-Indian relations, but they picked all the wrong reasons. Keeping the Sino-Indian relationship cordial is in the best interest of both countries, as well as America. In the case of a conflict between the two, Pakistan will benefit the most from the regional instability, followed by the Uighur population in Xinjian. Instead of sinophobia, the Indian government seek out areas of mutual collaboration with the Chinese government.

Here is what Premier Wen Jiabao said about Chinese foreign policy “China pursues the independent foreign policy of peace and will not align with any country or country blocks”

Another leader, Wah Shi Ng Tong, said “Observe good faith and justice towards all nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all.” Oops, I meant Washington:

Another Red Chinese-style aggressor, Thomas Jefferson, said in his first inaugural address: “peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none”

To the Heritage Foundation, a peaceful nation is one which stations troops in over 100 countries – 400,000 Americans stationed overseas according its own website:

How many Chinese troops are stomping around outside China????

More from Washington:

“As a very important source of strength and security, cherish public credit. One method of preserving it is to use it as sparingly as possible, avoiding occasions of expense by cultivating peace…. avoiding likewise the accumulation of debt, not only by shunning occasions of expense, but by vigorous exertion in time of peace to discharge the debts which UNAVOIDABLE WARS may have occasioned”
