We really need to dump Keynes. He’s been proven wrong again and again, yet our “top economists” keep regurgitating his message in the form of policy. What’s up with that?

On a daily basis, the saying, ” Money is the root of all evil”, is misquoted from the Bible. What it really says is that the “love of money” is the root of all sorts of evil. Money never has been evil, nor can it be. In the Apostle Paul’s SECOND letter to Timothy, he described what would characterize men in the “Last Days”. In chapter 3, Paul says that perilous times will come and that men in that time would be perilous as well. In the first verse he says that men will be “lovers of themselves”. Then in the next verse he says that they will be “lovers of money”. Martin Berrow

I think it at least obliquely supports your thesis to relate that (Jewish) radio talk-show host Michael Savage believes that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson should be taken away in handcuffs and charged with theft — among other crimes.

We might get through THIS latest disastrous round of corrupt bailouts – but Baby Boomers like me are aging and for the NEXT disaster (Chrysler 1979, S&L’s 1988, Financial Sector 2008), it will be the entire stinking government that will collapse probably as fast as South Vietnam, East Germany, Citigroup, etc. – manner of weeks – someday in 2020 give or take. The tsunami will overwhelm the financial levees and the Weimar Zimbabwe Federal Reserve printing press will not work any more.
I am not looking forward to that day since the odds are that the current bad government will be replaced by something even more hideous.

That’s what Rothbard says is the conventional Keynesian (neo?) view before he demolishes it in The Mystery of Banking available as a free download or for about $25 in a new 2nd edition from mises.org. It is timely even though written 25 years ago.

And not just the Torah & Talmud my dear! Paul said in Romans 13 to “Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another…” Other translations offer, “Let no debt remain outstanding…” (except to care for one another) Note the juxtaposition… dishonored/unpaid debt is no way to love, care for, or serve your fellowman.
