Alien In More Than One Way (Part I)

I don’t understand the fetish with Obama’s alleged elusive birth certificate. The President is an alien on so many levels, I fail to see why the formality of his birth is more central than the insanity and un-American nature of his thinking (which can be said of many other of his fellow pols, although BO is, admittedly, an extreme case).

Besides, isn’t BO American by virtue of his mother being an American? Mother Obama was a natural-born American, so baby BO is as well. The whole thing is a little loopy.

Supposedly Obama’s mother wasn’t old enough, at the time of his birth, for her to be legally able to give US citizenship to him.

Perhaps this whole thing is a case of people latching on to whatever they can for an objection.

The MSM didn’t give this issue any attention during the campaign, and they’re only now starting to actually report on it (along with foreign news services).

I think that a large number of people are offended that Obummer made off with the presidency without being made to answer the question of whether he was qualified… when they put McCain through the hoops (having been born in Panama of American citizens, IIRC).

A lot of “birthers” are also offended that NONE of Obummer’s papers and information are being made available… not most of his school records from Indonesia (except for one transcript, I think), or from Occidental College, or who has put up the money for his campaign, etc.

There are a lot of unanswered questions, and Obummer has literally spent millions of dollars to put up roadblocks to obtaining answers. A lot of people wonder, what has he got to hide? Why does he have a team of lawyers who are blocking access to information which would normally be available?

Ilana, I myself fear that we may be in for a Kenyan-style Big Man dictator in Obummer (not to mention his Commie leanings and friends)… so, if there is any way to prove him ineligible, or to impeach him, well, I’m all for it.

The man has successfully violated every other clause in the Constitution a mere six months into his term, so why should eligibility be the exception?

  6. Steve Bernier

The question, “what is he hiding?”, seems to be the question that is on the minds of numerous people. Lou Dobbs probably said it best, why not show the actual birth certificate? Pam Maltzman was correct, John McCain had his eligibility fully examined by the House and Senate. Barack Obama should have had the same scrutiny. If Mr. Obama was born in Kenya, then no his mom regardless of age could not transfer citizenship, because his father was Kenyan. If he was born on American soil, i.e. Hawaii, then yes he would be a natural born citizen. But the certification of live birth does not provide any information about the hospital he was born in or does not have a attending physician or midwife’s signature. If he ever chooses to reveal the long form certificate, he would put a lot of this mess to rest.

I believe that Ms. Mercer is absolutely right in this case. Article II Section 1 prohibits but a “natural born citizen” to be president, but doesn’t clarify that phrase. Subsection (g) of 8 USC 1401 would make Barry the Bolshevik a citizen at birth even if he had been born in Kenya. Anyway, see Steve Hogan’s comment above.

Sorry, Article II Section 1 prohibits anyone but a “natural born citizen” to be president.

How about a preview feature on this blog?

In the USA today, the law is all a matter of technicalities. And this technicality makes BHO, a contemptible communist bigot, ineligible to be President and sets up a bona fide Constitutional crisis- whether addressed or not.

Addressed, because it shows the worthlessness of a corporate press and the current election process in bringing out the question before the election. And the cupidity of the courts in claiming that mere citizens lack standing to challenge a Presidential candidate’s qualifications under the Constitution for office.

If not addressed, in providing legal cover for challenging any law or act he signs in public court as has already happened with soldiers refusing deployment (for one specific example).

If nothing else, pursuing it demonstrates once again and to a few more folks that this isn’t a free country, a constitutional republic, or a democracy. Widespread recognition of that ugly fact and challenging its’ legitimacy is a realistic step to a freer society.

I believe the biggest/best argument is whether or not Obama qualifies as a “natural born Citizen”. (I don’t know what you think of Wikipedia; however, there is a decent article on that Constitutional phrase at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_born_citizen_of_the_United_States).

The way I see it, this is the best method currently available to get this guy gone before he finishes flying the country into the side of a mountain. However, one can make the point that Biden would be no better and perhaps worse.

I’m afraid I have to pin my hopes on the mid-term elections and the US electorate finally coming to their senses. Faint hope, there.
