Obama 44%, Paul 34%

With all the hype about the incredible hulk, Chris Christie, I wager that this new Rasmussen Report will go unreported:

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds that Obama earns 44% support to Paul’s 34%. Thirteen percent (13%) prefer some other candidate, and nine percent (9%) remain undecided.
This time last month, the two men were essentially even shortly after Paul’s second-place finish in the high-profile Ames, Iowa straw poll. The president posted a narrow 41% to 37% lead over the congressman in July.

Ron Paul still has time to catch up, but the congressman needs some competent campaign strategists. In my opinion (whose less negative line on Israel Paul recently adopted, despite the fact that it was written for him years ago), Paul has come this far despite the help.

Ron Paul opposes SS and Medicare and the Military Industrial Complex and the Agribusiness Complex – AND – he is 76 years old – AND – everything ever posted on the Lew Rockwell site will be drudged up by the media. He will not be allowed to win EITHER the Republican nomination or the general election. 2012 might be paving the way for Rand Paul in 2016.

Obama’s world is coming apart at the seams. The ever-precious moderates are deserting him in droves. Even his own base of leftist wackos, including the Congressional Black Caucus, are throwing him under the bus. But, I have confidence in the Democrats. The Republicans will self destruct, as usual, and the Democrats will take their zillions of dollars reaped from big labor and other big doners and ride them to another 4 years in the White House for Obama and his minions of the left.

Don’t forget the recent CNN poll that had Dr. Paul within 4 points of O — 51-47. (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/26/cnn-poll-perry-still-at-top-but-romney-stronger-vs-obama/). That’s better than Obama vs. Perry where Obama has a 51-46 lead.

So what’s the headline? Is it “Shocker: Ron Paul within 4 points of Obama; Bests Perry’s 5 point Deficit” -? NO. What does CNN come up with? “CNN Poll: Perry still at top but Romney stronger vs. Obama”

What the hell?? Strange how we all come away with different takeaway messages from a poll, and so much of this selective headline editing determines who has traction in an election and who doesn’t. Who determines ‘electability’?

Even in terms of optics, Ron Paul might reach a point where he’s more electable than anyone else the GOP offers.

Myron is right. Ron Paul will not be allowed to win the nomination. The media treats him like he doesn’t exist. The political establishment treats him like a pariah. Once I will have no one to vote for in the general election. What a country!

“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win” said Mahatma Ghandi. But keep in mind that he was an elderly man fighting for years when India finally won independence ….

This is not just a struggle to get some schnook in the White House. Even a great politician like Reagan could not end the welfare state – he concentrated on the (politically easier) task of fighting the Soviet Empire.

The entire Welfare-Warfare State has to be dismantled – it will take 70 years to get out of Socialist Security, Medicare etc. – and I think Ron is a fighter in the battle. So while 2012 probably is not the dawn of the Messianic Era, it is another battleground. I will contribute to Ron Paul soon.

    TO ALL OBJECTIVISTS, libertarians,
LIBERTARIANS, “AU-H2Oer” CONSERVATIVES out there…PLEASE DO NOT FORGET YOUR LOCAL ELECTIONS.

There will be many positions for which the aforementioned can win. School Boards and various minor positions sometimes have only one, old incumbent to beat. Remember to research those positions before voting because MONEY is in short supply and alternative, non-government solutions should be attractive. Get the “Paulites” in somewhere…it’s a start.
