I’m sure I recognized Mrs. Newt Gingrich in the papal mass choir that sang so sublimely for Pope Francis (who seemed to be dozing off). The music still honored by the Catholic Church—mostly Western, J. S. Bach being the God of music—is enough to make a classical-music loving Jew convert. Callista is famous for her helmeted hair-do, and now for her devotion to music. Indeed:

The five groups scheduled to perform include a gospel choir, the Catholic University Chamber Choir and a “Papal Mass Choir” of 90 participants selected from more than 300 people who auditioned in the D.C. area.

Looting, littering, throwing feces, overturning vehicles, assaulting and pulling the occupants from within: “Never in my short life had I an opportunity to see such scenes and I feel that this is just the beginning,” writes a Polish travel blog writer and eyewitness to the centrally authorized and planned invasion of Europe (Hat tip to Ken Coffman). Behold. This is what you inflict on a land and a people you don’t care about: your generous hosts. A similar specter can be seen on visiting America’s Southern border.

The Camp of the Saints by Jean Raspail is on the minds of those of us with an historic memory and some insight. (Thanks to Amazon’s magnificent cookies, this prophetic book is grouped with my own.) Charles Burris’s description of the novel and its relevance to the refugee crisis underway in Europe (the handiwork of Bush, Obama and Hillary) is impossible to best:

Practitioners of the religion of peace celebrated the holy month of Ramadan in quiet reflection. If only. Terrorist attacks were the order of the day, and were carried out in France, Kuwait, and Tunisia. Scores are dead; one man was beheaded in France. Via Fox News:

Terrorists gunned down dozens of tourists on a Tunisian beach, left a severed head atop a fence outside a French factory and blew up a Kuwaiti mosque Friday in a bloody wave of attacks that followed an ISIS leader’s call to make the month of Ramadan a time of “calamity for the infidels.”
