Liberals are denying that New York City’s 9th Congressional District is “a bellwether district.” Their perpetual propaganda cannot repeal reality. Uncontroversially (for a change), I contend, in my new WND.COM column, that “New Yorkers are onto the Leech-in-Chief”:
“Running against Barack Obama’s reckless fiscal policies (the building blocks for which were laid by Bush), a Republican, Catholic businessman has just beaten a Democratic, Jewish, pro-Israel, career politician in New York City’s 9th Congressional District, by 54 to 46 percent.
Bob Turner’s historic win over David Weprin, a first for Republicans since 1923, is reminiscent of Scott Brown’s victory over Martha Coakley in Massachusetts. Given the ethnic composition of the district—almost 40 percent Jewish—the media, however, is spinning the win as a referendum on Obama’s policies on Israel, not the economy.
Had the Democrat not outspent the Republican and outgunned him with the assistance of former president Bill Clinton and Gov. Andrew Cuomo; and had the Jewish voters under scrutiny not been primarily Orthodox, working class, and in opposition to gay marriage—CNN’s Errol Louis might have alluded to Jewish money and influence. Instead, the commentator confined himself to describing the votes cast for a fiscally and socially more conservative representative as ‘tribally’ motivated.”…

A newly formatted, splendid Kindle copy is also on sale.
I really do believe that there is a deep, deep level of frustration, disgust, and mistrust among American citizens about what we see occurring in D.C. on all levels and by nearly all politicians.
It is like a slow-burning, underground coal fire that is not seen, but a fire that radiates heat and can be felt while walking barefoot.
Look about today and notice how many people are barefoot…it’ll surprise you.
ps: Did anyone watch Bernie Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot on Cavuto’s show/Fox Business last night? He held nothing back in his comments re BHO and the economic situation.
[Provide a link; I’ve heard BM speak, but missed this appearance. He’s a fabulous entrepreneur.]
I don’t care if Bob Turner is a cross between Typhoid Mary and Benedict Arnold he’s not a democrat.
Here is a LINK that reinforces Ilana’s article in terms of printing more money and Keynesian economics:

The most frightening part was the statement “the government is in hock to the tune of $115 trillion for the unfunded liabilities of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security”.
I don’t know the percentages for each fund, but I suppose SS would probably not be fully adjusted for future inflation, while the others would probably require full adjustments for inflation, or a severe cut in services.
Don’t take this personally James, its just too good an example: “I don’t care if Bob Turner is a cross between Typhoid Mary and Benedict Arnold he’s not a democrat.”
By james huggins on 09.16.11 4:46 am- Appears to be the country wide view of modern American politics. Obama has to win the touchdown of getting the debt ceiling raised so that the Democrats win this quarter. The Republicans have to block the debt ceiling to keep the Democrats from gaining yardage. Obama won- Victory for the Democrats. However, the playing field was destroyed; but, who cares Obama gained a touchdown. This time the star kicker missed the extra point and the Republicans got another team member into the game. Maybe that means someone will duct tape the goalpost so that it will hold up another quarter… We really need to think of the country, not the game.
Obama was close to a Jimmy Carter moment of a diplomatic hostage crisis had he not told the Egyptian military to intervene to protect the Israeli diplomats in Cairo.
Meanwhile, domestically, the Messiah of Hope-N-Change seems to be in a near free-fall (politically) – stimuli, bailouts, Green Energy, Corn-burning ethanol mandates, Kash-4-Klunkers, Payroll tax cuts, Bush Tax Extension – none of these idiot gimmicks are working and even the Booboisie are getting antsy over Terabuck deficits…
Republicans are merely the undeserved beneficiaries just as Obama came riding in on a wave of anti-Dubya sentiment.
Every time I hear, “all are equally responsible for what has happened in Washington,” it seems to be coming from the left. That was then. Now is now. Why are the same thieves responsible for Fannie and Freddy, and the same who ignore all, op. gunrunner and Solyndra plus still not with Maddof in prison? How would that shake up the party lines?
