‘Blah Blah Aleikum Islam’

The young thug flexing his Muslim muscle in this YouTube clip on the streets of London should not be the object of your contempt. He is true to himself. The society that hothouses this vile creature with his veiled threats to snuff out the life of anti-Islam activist Geert Wilders—that country deserves your scorn.

Today that self-immolating society is Britain; tomorrow it’ll be the US. We’re nearly there.

In the hoodlum’s words (via Brenda Walker of VDARE.COM):

We’re here to protest against this man, Geert Wilders, who insulted the message of Mohamed, [blah blah aleikum Islam]. We’re here to give him a message that, like he’s doing his interview today holed up, he’ll remain holed up, because he obviously knows that in Islam, the punishment for the one who insults the prophet is capital punishment. And he should take lessons from people like Theo Van Gogh and others who faced the punishment. So obviously we’re here to warn him and remind him that he’s going to remain holed up as long as he insults Islam and Muslims.

Interviewer: Is that going to be construed a threat, what you just said?

Well, obviously I’m saying, I’m not saying that I’m personally am going to carry out, but, he needs to know that there are Muslims in every corner of the earth, and these people they all have the love for the message of Mohamed [blah blah aleikum Islam]. And in the message of Mohamed he said, ‘the one who insults any of the prophets, kill him.’ That is a capital punishment. This phenomenon is disturbing for what it says of Britain’s dhimmi culture; not about the bum who should be deported to a sandy place. Speaking and publishing under the threat of injury or death: this is one of the defining libertarian issues of our times. A society that allows into its midst a sizable contingent whose members, as a matter of creed, threaten to kill countrymen guilty of speech they deem offensive—that society is sick. It will not survive.

Margaret Hoover “is an American political commentator, political strategist, and blogger. She is the great-granddaughter of former President Herbert Hoover,” a factor which probably explains her popularity on Fox News, for it is certainly not humor, originality or cerebral agility that explain the ubiquity of the Blond Squad (BS) on Fox News. O’Reilly especially prefers his women guests to be his inferiors.

In any case, the Blond Squad brainiacs–also called Culture Warriors (comprising MH and another compromised blond)—were bitching in unison about one of Obama’s praise-worthy initiatives. (The first of which was not doing squat about the Iranians’ revolt. I’ve documented the others in successive posts.)

This particular rare good news story the BS was condemning was the decision by the Obama administration to cease “criminalizing cancer and AIDS patients for using a substance that is (a) prescribed by their doctors and (b) legal under the laws of their state. …”

When I told Sean the reason Hoover gave for her objection to decriminalization, he rolled his eyes. I’m sure you will too. According to this woman’s calculus, once you decriminalize a drug, criminal enterprise corners the market.

Babe, it’s exactly the opposite. I know, it’s a hard concept, but the section “THE COSTS OF ILLEGAL MARKETS” in “Addicted To The Drug War” may help (on the other hand…):

“Prohibition—not drug use—is responsible for the current crime and chaos. Prohibition makes the price of drugs far in excess of their cost of production. The production costs of common drugs are low. These chemicals are derived from hardy plants. A poppy is not an orchid. Neither is cannabis a particularly fragile plant. As with other illegal commodities, the price is pushed up by the high costs of circumventing the law as well as by the reduced supply brought on by prohibition. The price of pure heroin for medicinal purposes is a fraction of its street price. The difference amounts to a state subsidy for organized crime. … When supply is reduced … prices shoot up. And what happens when prices go up? The potential profit causes a renewed influx of dealers into the trade, resulting in more crime. In the war on drugs, success is failure. A free market in drugs, however, will bring prices down drastically, inclining fewer pushers to enter the trade.”

Vaclav Finger-In-The-Dyke Klaus

The Euroskeptic Czech President Vaclav Klaus continues to valiantly oppose the European Union for its sovereignty sundering supranational regulation. He has “stubbornly refuses to fly the EU flag.” However, now it looks as though he may be required to capitulate:

Klaus, “a fierce critic of all things related to the European Union, is the only thing standing between Europe’s élite club and its mighty future. Until he signs the Lisbon Treaty — the Czech Republic is the last holdout among E.U. members — the E.U.’s grand reform plan remains in limbo. While politicians across the continent have spent weeks wringing their hands, trying to figure out how to compel Klaus to sign the document, the majority of Czechs are standing behind their leader. …

Although Klaus is fiercely opposed to the treaty, which aims to overhaul the E.U.’s decision-making procedures and establish a full-time President of the union, it’s looking more likely that he will grudgingly sign it. He is bound by the Czech constitution to approve the document after the parliament endorsed it and he indicated in an interview last weekend that it was probably too late to derail the process.”
