Update III: Tell Establishment Media A Dog Died On The Border

The excerpt is from my new, WND.COM column, “Tell Establishment Media A Dog Died On The Border”:

“In response to CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux’s concern that the Arizona immigration-enforcement law, SB 1070, has made “a lot of people very angry, very upset” [a life threatening condition, apparently], the upstanding Antenori demanded: “What about my constituents whose homes are ransacked? What about the ranchers who’re shot at while patrolling their fence lines; whose cattle are being slaughtered ? there are millions of dollars of economic damages ? what about them? What about their civil right?”

Bad move.

Although not as rude as Chris Matthews and his malevolent MSNBC colleagues, Malveaux was only mildly interested. To grab her attention, Antenori ought to have begun what to Malveaux was a white, hot, racist rant with the story of a dog ? a dog that was shot by one frequent “visitor” to Arizona.

The same marauder who beat a retreat to Mexico killed the dog’s faithful companion, Rancher Robert Krentz. A pillar of the Cochise County community, Krentz had for decades raised cattle along the Arizona-Mexico border.

The violent death of a dog on the border is more likely than that of his owner to rate a mention in mainstream media.

State Senator Russell Pearce might also have mentioned a mutt—or even better, a Mulato family member—to justify the ‘racist’ law he sponsored

Washington does not want immigration laws enforced. And it matters not that its open-house policy is costing American lives and livelihoods. This applies to Barack Hussein Obama as well as to his predecessor, George W. Bush. …

Put more accurately: Arizona is doing the work Washington doesn’t want done. …”

Update I (April 30): BREAKING. Coincidence or way of life? Arizona “deputy shot by illegal immigrant.

Update II (May 1): In my column, I mentioned that “One of the finest minds on matters pertaining to immigration and the Constitution is Kris W. Kobach.” The NYT, no less, ran an op-ed by Kobach, “Why Arizona Drew a Line,” refuting the misinformation put out by bimbos and politicos who’ve not read the law—the former because they can’t read (Shakira); the latter (American Civil Liberties Union/The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund) because they can get away with lying. He concludes:

President Obama and the Beltway crowd feel these problems can be taken care of with “comprehensive immigration reform” — meaning amnesty and a few other new laws. But we already have plenty of federal immigration laws on the books, and the typical illegal alien is guilty of breaking many of them. What we need is for the executive branch to enforce the laws that we already have.

Update III (May 2): While the activists make demands, patriotic residents of the “The Grand Canyon State” “Clean up our trashed border.” Via Michelle Malkin.

Somebody please tell me the downside of Arizona’s berating by the likes of Chris Matthews, Mayor Bloomberg, Barack Obama, or San Francisco, et al. Who cares? If you’re a decent human being, having them for enemies is a good thing! They may indeed rise like the mythical phoenix (play on words intended) in the esteem of theirs and the rest of the U.S. population who still have a lick of sense.

And here’s a question: When the stream of lawsuits starts pouring in, what would happen if Arizona simply refused to show up in court, pay fines, “damages”, in other words simply refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of this corrupt federal government and its tricks?

    One can dream . . .

Right on, right on Mercer. Once again you have hit a home run. I am interested to see how many of our “public leaders”, who haven’t openly commented on the situation while waiting to see which was the wind of public opinion blows, will fold up and give in when faced with thousands of America hating, citizenship-demanding Mexicans take to the streets on Cinqo de Mayo.

The federal government will tell us all it has the authority to determine whether we can own a gun, demand all the States act as its agent in all gun and ammunition sales, and is fighting in court to complete control of all guns and gun transactions, even though it has no such authority, and ignores to costs of unfunded mandates making State officials, and citizens, effectively agents of the federal government. At the same time, the same Federal Government tells the states, the same states, they do not have the authority to enforce their own laws regarding security, entry, their border with foreign nations, nor their border with other states. It has laws enacted which demand that our borders be secured from illegal aliens crossing, yet it abjectly refuses to do any real attempt at enforcing that actual law it is responsible for. Our federal government is not serving us, it is ruling over us, as if it had the authority to do so. If we do not stand up and deny this, and demand our authority be recognised, and our laws we demanded enacted, be enforced, we will cease to have any authority, because our current situation is due to our failure to exercise our real and rightful authority, long ago, when the problem started, and the Federal public servants failed to do their job and serve. Federal Laws and mandates should be completely ignored everywhere the Federal government is not enforcing basic National security of enforcing immigration, and only reluctantly complied with, if the law or mandate being pushed, fully comports with the proper status between a Sovereign State, and a “federal” government, acting fully within the “Supreme Law of the Land” by fully comporting with the National Constitution in every aspect entirely. Absent that specific, there is no authority within the National government, as it is specifically a “federal government”, which defines it as a limited government exactly described by the Constitution, in all its responsibilities, and all its authorities, and exact limits on all of these, spelled out in plain english.
    Sincerely,

I applaud you for standing up for principles and also against partisan idiots. No doubt, many will blame illegal immigration on Obama while completely ignoring the Bushes, Rove, McCain, Graham, and the neocon columnists (Gerson, Brooks, Chavez and others). Interesting how American “freedoms” are endangered by some random Pushtun warlord 12,000 miles away but if you complain about Americans being shot and property stolen in Arizona (or somewhere else in America), that makes you a bigot. America’s War in Afghanistan is called “Operation Enduring Freedom” – as if Hamid Karzai counts more than Robert Krenz and Kabul is more important than Pheonix.

So far, I have heard and seen more abuses by TSA goons against old ladies, handicapped, my nephew’s wife, me (for attempted transportation of killer yogurt), and little children then I have heard of abuse by some Arizona Gestapo. Some credit to Jonah Goldberg and Diana West and George Will for recognizing the concept of citizenship and sovereignty. There is, of course, always a concern that the Arizona State Police will behave like the DEA, TSA, IRS, BATF, FBI in the course of securing the safety of their own citizens and simultaneously upholding federal law (which Obama, nearly all Democrats, and most Republicans oppose upholding).

Ro 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

This is a God given authority, not one from Washington.

If you cover a crime and protect the criminal you are an assessory to that crime. That is being done by Washington so they are all indited as criminals.

I don’t believe this criminal attitude began with Roosevelt and his New Deal but it got a real boost and our country did not reject it. For this cause we are now reaping the just rewards of our indiscretion Roosevelt stole my right to plant any legal crop and market same,Which is my God given and Constitutional right to do.

1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

We should note that this covetousness is the corner stone of Socialism and has no solid foundation. We will bite and devour one another until we are consumed one of another.

The solution is to come together with one mind to support that law of love which leads to our prosperity.

Ro 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

We are under no force or obligation to make us believe this but unbelief cannot change it.

With respect to the current issue, it’s also important to remember the lies promoted by NAFTA supporters in the early 1990s. They (a Democrat-Republican mix including both Bushites and Clintonites such as Rahm Emmanuel) had the absolute gall to assure Americans that the NAFTA monstrosity would work to stop illegal Mexican immigration into the U. S.. As most Americans have never seen a Third World country except from the balconies of resort hotels in Cancun, they do not understand the enormous population, poverty, and pollution within such countries. They swallowed the fiction whole and NAFTA passed, erasing forever the manufacturing jobs many white and black Americans had depended upon to feed their families.

It is now 16 years later and the “flip side” of this awful piece of legislation is coming home to roost in the form of massive Mexican migrations northward to “do the jobs Americans won’t do.” While the Arizona law correctly attempts to do “the work Washington doesn’t want done,” as Ilana states, outing and discrediting the treasonous American elite who have promoted North American integration through vehicles such as NAFTA should also form part of the corrective prescription.

It’s illegal for me to say the names I would like to use, a deputy sheriff just ran into five fine upstanding citizens of our neighbor next door and their bales of marijuana that they planned for horse feed. Two were carrying AK 47’s, I guess for rabbit hunting and one of them just happened to put a bullet into the deputy. My cynicism could continue but 200 word limit you know. “http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100501/ap_on_re_us/us_arizona_deputy_shot”

The United States is being colonized by Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

As for the elites, they are engaged in treason http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/treason by refusing to seal the borders and expel those who do not belong here.

Do Barbara Grant and the others know what the penalty is for treason?

    It is death by hanging.

I know this to be true as my grade school classmates were the Mudd sisters. They were descendants of Dr. Samuel Mudd. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Mudd Dr. Mudd was imprisoned for aiding the escape of John Wilkes Booth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wilkes_Booth Mary Surratt was hanged for treason for engaging in conspiracy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Surratt

As they say here in Texas: Things are fixin’ to heat up.

Elites? Treason? This has been stock and trade of many of our political and cultural “leaders” as long as I can remember. John Kerry. Bill Clinton. Nancy Pelosi. Sean Penn. [George Bush? FDR?] Etc, etc, ad nauseum. One can disagree with the governments various policies without attacking the very nation. But we have degenerated to the point where we feel led to sabotage the very basic fabric of the nation for a political advantage.

    Dear Ms Mercer:

Excellent commentary and the review of the lame-stream media!
Is it any wonder TV news, Mainstream Media are seeing a ratings, sales decline with all of the bias, slanted news coverage.

Which bring me to a history lesson ( famous quote ):
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

???? Does that have a familar ring The scary part? ….. is to who said it !!!

Mrs. Mercer’s eloquent commentary about Arizona and immigration (I laughed out loud at the notion of “being upset” as a life-threatening condition!) reminded me of a lovely verse (ELEGY ON THE DEATH OF A MAD DOG) by the 18th-century English poet, novelist, and playwright Oliver Goldsmith:

… In Islington there was a man,
Of whom the world might say
That still a godly race he ran,
    Whene’er he went to pray.

A kind and gentle heart he had,
    To comfort friends and foes;
The naked every day he clad,
When he put on his clothes.

And in that town a dog was found,
    As many dogs there be,
Both mongrel, puppy, whelp and hound,
    And curs of low degree.

    This dog and man at first were friends;
    But when a pique began,
The dog, to gain some private ends,
Went mad and bit the man.

Around from all the neighboring streets
    The wondering neighbors ran,
And swore the dog had lost his wits,
To bite so good a man.

The wound it seemed both sore and sad
    To every Christian eye;
And while they swore the dog was mad,
They swore the man would die.

But soon a wonder came to light,
That showed the rogues they lied:
The man recovered of the bite,
The dog it was that died.

Malcolm Muggeridge bitterly wrote (apropos Anglo dog-ophilia) that if Hitler had vowed to exterminate dogs rather than vowing to exterminate Jews, Britain would have gone to war against him in 1933.
