UPDATE III: TSA: Home Grown Terrorism (& Cretinism)/It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp

The following is from my new column, “TSA: Home Grown Terrorism (& Cretinism),” now on WND.COM:

“… In the words of a horrified Israeli aviation security expert, speaking to a Fox News crew: ‘You cannot allow the security personnel to see, and show the entire world, images of naked bodies of women and men!’ Amid ongoing American insanity, this laconic Israeli, Isaac Yeffet, has been making the rounds on CNN, PBS, Fox News—has been doing so for a decade, at least.

Yeffet is a former member of the Israeli Secret Service, and was once in charge of security for El Al. Almost a year has past since Fox News probed him for his opinion about the ‘full body scanners.’ Nearly ten years have gone by since the man testified before an equally idiotic Congress.

No other western country is a bigger target for terrorists than Israel. Yet no other nation runs a better (largely privatized), less invasive, smarter, security system, whose able agents simply talk to travelers. These profilers understand that 99.9 percent of fliers are ‘bona fide’ (Yeffet’s favored bon mot). ‘Shoes aren’t removed, passengers aren’t body scanned, and there are no pat downs,’ confirms the New York Times. A ‘hand search’ is seldom conducted, and only with probable cause.

Fox News wanted tough answers; Yeffet gave them smart ones. In countless news interviews over the years, Yeffet has implied that there is no substitute for intelligence—intelligence as in smarts; as in that dreaded G Factor. (No, Cosmo Magazine readers, that’s not the same as the G Spot.) …”

The complete column is “TSA: Home Grown Terrorism (& Cretinism).” Read the rest on WND.COM.

UPDATE I (Nov. 19): This country follows a mushy-headed maxim whereby to be a victim (of crime, terrorism, one’s own stupidity) is to be automatically conferred with oracular wisdom. This nonsense has been applied to any relative of those murdered on 9/11.

Two such Delphic creatures have praised the TSA home-grown terrorism and quipped that it would be far more productive to go long with the probe and grope routines.

I give you “Mary and Frank Fetchet, whose son, Bradley James Fetchet, was killed on Sept. 11. [They] have also issued a statement in support of the new measures, citing the failed Christmas Day plot last December as a reminder that ‘comprehensive security measures’ are still needed.”

Mary Fetchet appeared on FoxNews this morning, with a member of the (honey) Blond Squad, who herself quipped that news people are featuring a small noisy bunch of travelers which is in a minority.

Another believer is Alice Hoagland. The fact that her son was killed in the Twin Towers gives her the ostensible authority to recommend the inflicted rogering and radiating routines.

UPDATE II: In the footage of the agents feeling up every day Americans the mug of the offender is always concealed. Why? Isn’t it the victim who should remain anon? Even the people broadcasting these assaults on flying America have their head screwed on like Linda Blair’s in the Exorcist.

And it’s so imbecilic. They’re going thorough the motions knowing full-well that they’ll never meet a terrorist; 99.99999% of the individuals they violate are “bona fide.”

UPDATE III (Nov. 20): I call the liberal neocon Judy Miller Mrs. Chalabi. She was one of the “presstitutes” who enabled the invasion of Iraq from her perch at the New York Times. She’s no journalist. She’s a media person. Big difference.

During her tenure at the Gray Lady, promoting Bush’s war, Judy made sure to exclude all analysis (including from highly regarded experts) that didn’t comport with the Bush “thesis” about Iraq. Her preferred sources of information were corrupt parties like Egypt, Jordan, ex-KGB man Vladimir Putin, and Ahmad Chalabi, the man who fed a willing administration phony intel on Iraq so as to fire-up the War Party.

Today, on Fox News Watch, Judy the non-journalist, said that the American media had not covered the Israeli airports security methods.

Nothing mainstream media write is original. We guerrilla journalists and writers are always ahead of the pack, but Ms. Miller, like her colleagues, does not consider that a story/angle has been covered in earnest until she or her colleagues have stumbled upon it.

Imagine: Judith Chalabi being a respected panelist on a program about media bias.

On the same stage, Kirsten Powers, a liberal member of the Fox News Blond Squad, expressed her satisfaction with the porn protocol at the airports, and wept in sympathy for TSA workers. Yeah, “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp.”

To people who twist the Constitution, these words from long ago,
‘Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government’

Our government and it’s minions are inhabited by out of touch fools. They live in a bubble completely devoid of the company of and apparently the counsel of normal people. Everything they do is for show whether it is logical or not. As long as it looks good to the myriad left/weird bloggers, writers and professors they think it’s the thing to do. And, we keep electing them to office. We are now no more than long suffering, tax producing sheep with no sayso in how the country is run. Actually we do exercise our sayso but the various governments merely ignore and operate under the idea that if we disagree we are probably simple minded. After all we didn’t even go to school at Yale. I understand that Janet Whats-her-name is considering letting Muslim women go through un searched because being touched is against their religion. I wouls like to see a bunch of Baptist women from Oklahoma pull that one. American citizens have devolved to a mass collection of the blind being led by the blind. No wonder the rest of the world laughs at us. A revolting develpment indeed.

Excellent essay. There is a land somewhere between anarchy and totalitarianism. It lies between “search nobody” and “search everybody”. It is bounded by Naiveté on one side and Paranoia on the other. It is the land of ordered liberty and common sense – the nation of our Founding Fathers. It is difficult to conceive Franklin, Jefferson, Mason, and Madison conjuring up a TSA or of Abigail Adams and Martha Washington being groped by uneducated goons who can barely speak English.

About as tragic as the outrageous searching itself are the “elite” morons who defend this abomination – “experts” like Jeffrey Toobin. Here’s what Franklin predicted when the Constitution was adopted:

“Sir, I agree to this Constitution .. form of Government but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered, and believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it, when the people shall become so corrupted as to need despotic Government, being incapable of any other.”

Meanwhile, to find the 0.000001% “terrorists”, TSA creates crowded thousand-people
backups at airports which THEMSELVES are extremely vulnerability security points.

    “terrorism (usually uncountable; plural terrorisms)

1.The deliberate commission of an act of violence to create an emotional response through the suffering of the victims in the furtherance of a political or social agenda.

2.Violence against civilians to achieve military or political objectives.

3.A psychological strategy of war for gaining political or religious ends by deliberately creating a climate of fear among the population of a state.”

SOUNDS LIKE THE TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION!!!

Perhaps you’ve failed to identify who they are really looking for?

Right now they are just separating the sheep from the people with the TSA assaults. They’re not worried about the sheep…

Remember who their enemy is, and it’s not the muslim terrorists. It’s returning veterans, constitutionalists, third party members (what’s that tell you about the Republican Party?) Threepers, Oath Keepers, gun owners and Bible believers, and anyone who resists groping by the TSA.

1 in 5 Americans suffer from mental illness.
4 of those 5 work for government.
The final 1 in 5 are elected lizards.

Monica voluntarily got her blue stained dress, compliments of WJC.
America’s Lady Liberty is involuntarily being gang-violated, compliments of GWB & BHO.

    Lizards of dirty water.

This capitulation to the gods of tech and touch on the altar of political correctness will hasten the destruction of this nation. People will acquiesce again and again, saying “well, if you don’t want to be screened, don’t fly” or “it really is for our own good” until such time as they run into to something they can’t abide with and by then, it’ll be too late, as the word ‘mandatory’ will be firmly inserted into the new American lexicon. Such is the slippery-slope of incremental socialism.

    Excellent comments, Myron.

Thanks so much for this timely article, Ilana. I can’t believe this horrific invasion, or that the Fox people (any of them) are okay with it! Outrageous. And the treatment of that poor little girl? Not to mention John Tyner; I swear, these creeps get more frenzied at natural resistance.

It’s an interesting trend you mention, that of ascribing Delphic powers to victims. Remember where it began within the recent past: with Jim Brady, press secretary to President Reagan, the former having sustained a grievous wound in the assassination attempt. Jim and Sarah Brady have been given credibility in their attempts to destroy 2nd Amendment rights because of this (as if someone who’d tried to assassinate a U. S. President would obey “gun control” laws in the first place.) Now we have victims of the 9/11 terror openly advocating for groping and fondling innocent air travelers who refuse radiation bursts whose long-term health effects are unknown. Worse, however, is the underlying assumption behind these scans/gropes: All air travelers are equally likely to present threats to airline security.

Many claim that the Soviet system died with the end of the Cold War. Did it, really?

My wife died on August 28, 2001 after a 3.6 year bout with cancer. Two weeks later, some wealthy derivatives trader is picking his nose on the 93rd floor of the World Trade Center when a 767 crashes into the building…. Now, first I have to pay taxes to support this person’s family (even if they’re wealthy)! Secondly, the family members automatically become EXPERTS on the US Constitution and airplane security. “Carie Lemack, co-founder of Families of September 11 and the Global Survivors Network, suggested travelers find other modes of transportation.”

Nearly 4 billion passengers have flown on airlines since the incident and there have been ZERO takeovers of airplanes. How about if Lemack and her 9/11 EXPERTS stop flying! Let the airplane companies take responsibility and these 9/11 paranoids can all get colonoscopies on their airplane and the rest of us can take our chances with yogurt, shoes, and common sense. The pilots are armed and behind secure doors and they hate this nudie-groping!

Imagine an auto accident victim’s family insisting that cars go no faster than 20 miles per hour! That is about the same logical absurdity. Sadly too many idiotic Americans listen too such drivel.

Excellent article you’ve written for WND, thank you: “TSA: Homegrown terrorism (& cretinism)”

I know many others appreciate people like yourself publicly speaking out on this issue and other authoritarian and unnecessary homeland security measures that have been implemented since international terrorism has landed on our shores.

We need our nation’s security leadership to exercise better common sense, intelligence and savvy as well as respect for average Americans, as you’ve addressed in the following paragraphs of your article. We need to take some serious lessons from the Israelis on security issues:

“No other Western country is a bigger target for terrorists than Israel. Yet no other nation runs a better (largely privatized), less invasive, smarter security system, whose able agents simply talk to travelers. These profilers understand that 99.9 percent of fliers are “bona fide” (Yeffet’s favored bon mot). “Shoes aren’t removed, passengers aren’t body scanned, and there are no pat downs,” confirms the New York Times. A “hand search” is seldom conducted, and only with probable cause.

“In a few, well-chosen words, Yeffet has suggested that the thousands hired by the TSA are riffraff. “What we should do is to stop using a low level of people.” And, “Unqualified and untrained people, undedicated people are running the security in our country.” “We need to hire people that, at minimum, have graduated from high school, speak English, are U.S. citizens.” (PBS’ “NewsHour,” 2002.) “Technology can help the qualified, well-trained human being but cannot replace him. … We must look at the qualifications of the candidate for security jobs. He must be educated. He must speak two languages.” (CNN.)”

Enjoy your articles, keep up the good work.”

The jerk in charge of this TSA fiasco was just interviewed by Juan Williams, typically evasive and talking in circular patterns. Williams was way too easy on him; he is not a “good guy” for consenting to an interview where he could give an altered image of himself and what’s going on.

  13. Mike Marks

I also have heard and read the comments of Israeli Isaac Yeffet and I’m so tired of the phony counter argurments. These include but the Israelis have a much smaller air travel system. Well duh, but our air system is also more distributed than Israel’s. Israel’s model could be taught and repeated across airports all across the country. Mr. Yeffet is correct our system looks for “things” not terrorists! The approach we are using violates the fourth amendment of the Constitution IMHO. Ann Coulter has pointed out over and over that if the terrorists of 9/11 had been blonde Swedes we would not be having this conversation right now for obvious reasons.

By the way where are all the usual civil rights organizations during this TSA debacle?

  14. Myron Pauli

Ominious quote: “When he tried to assert his rights, Tyner was told by a TSA supervisor on tape, “By buying your ticket you gave up a lot of rights.” ”

    – – Now, arguably, if each Airline was responsible for screening its own passengers, that would most certainly be correct … BUT

    (1) Unelected bureacurats created “LAWS” which carry $ 11,000 fines in violation of the Constitution which puts that power solely in Congress

    and

    (2) They are putting such scanners/gropers in courthouses – which means that if you refuse this nonsense, you no longer have access to the courts!

This is utterly obscene and Orwellian.
