UPDATED III (8/30): NEW COLUMN: Land Reform In Ramaphosa’s South Africa

Ann Coulter, Crime, Ilana Mercer, Judaism & Jews, Private Property, Race, Racism, South-Africa

Land Reform In Ramaphosa’s South Africa” is the latest column, now on WND.com and the Unz Review. You can also read it on Townhall.com. Yes, President Trump has done the greatest Mitzvah (good deed) of all (read on), this as the accursed ADL (The Anti-Defamation League) is tarring as white supremacists those of us who want to save South Africa’s white Christians minority.

An excerpt from the column:

He who believes he has a right to another man’s property ought to produce proof that he is its rightful owner. “As the old legal adage goes, ‘Possession is nine-tenths of the law,’ as it is the best evidence in our uncertain world of legitimate title. The burden of proof rests squarely with the person attempting to alter and abolish present property titles.” (From “Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South-Africa”.)

It is to this potent principle that democratic rule in South Africa has taken an axe—or, rather, an assegai.

Here is how taking land legally currently works, in South Africa, a place the US State Department has only just lauded as “a strong democracy with resilient institutions…,” a country merely  “grappling with the difficult issue of land reform.” “Land reform,” of course, is a euphemism for land distribution in the Robert Mugabe mold.

The process currently in place typically begins with a “tribe” or group of individuals who band together to claim vast tracts of private property.

If these loosely and conveniently conjoined groups know anything, it’s this: South Africa’s adapted, indigenized law allows coveted land, owned and occupied by another, to be obtained with relative ease.

See, the country no longer enjoys the impressive Western system of Roman-Dutch law it once enjoyed. Lax law and poorly protected property rights signal a free-for-all on the lives of white owners and their livestock

No sooner does this newly constituted “tribe” (or band of bandits, really) launch a claim with the South African Department of Rural Development and Land Reform, than related squatters—sometimes in the thousands—move to colonize the land.

They defile its grounds and groundwater by using these as one vast toilet, and terrorize, sometimes kill, its occupants and their animals in the hope of “nudging” them off the land.

Dr. Philip du Toit, a farmer (with a doctorate in labor law) and author of “The Great South African Land Scandal,” speaks of recurrent attacks on farm animals that “hark back to the Mau Mau terror campaign which drove whites off Kenyan farms.”

Farmer’s Weekly used to be packed with pitiful accounts of cows poisoned with exotic substances, battered with heavy metal bars, writhing in agony for hours before being found by a distraught farmer.

“Encroachment is the right word,” a farmer told du Toit. “They put their cattle in, then they cut the fences, then they start stealing your crops, forcing you to leave your land. And then they say: ‘Oh well, there’s vacant land, let’s move on to it.’

It’s a very subtle way of stealing land.” “When there is a farm claim I say ‘Look out!’ because attacks may follow to scare the farmers,” confirmed the regional director of the Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU).”

Agri SA, an organization representing small and large-scale commercial farmers, reports the annual theft of hundreds of thousands of priceless livestock.

The ANC’s old Soviet-inspired Freedom Charter promised this: “All shall have the right to occupy land wherever they choose.” And so they do today.

Because of legal claims they are powerless to fight, squatters whom they cannot fend off, and cattle, crops and families which they can no longer protect, farmers have already been pushed to abandon hundreds of thousands of hectares of prime commercial farmland.

“Since the end of apartheid in 1994, when multi-racial elections were held,” wrote Dan McDougal of the London Times, millions of “acres of productive farmland have been transferred to black ownership. Much of it is now lying fallow, creating no economic benefit for the nation or its new owners.”

South Africa has become a net importer of food for the first time in its history. …

I’m pleased to relay that the great Ann Coulter retweeted this column, which means it was read far and wide, as did Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft on Gab, the place for subversives.

Lastly, here is an interview I did with with Bill Meyer, a most thoughtful broadcaster and a long-time friend. Not everything out of Oregon is subpar.

Listen.

‘The Kids, The Kids,’ And Other Crap (Parents Are Custodians Of Their kids, Not Uncle Sam & US Taxpayers)

Ann Coulter, Democrats, Family, IMMIGRATION, Morality, Republicans, Welfare

“The kids, the kids.” Never have I seen such a sickeningly sanctimonious press as America’s, convulsing over kids detained at the border, in accordance with US law.

Treacherous “elites vie to see who can reach the greatest heights of rhetorical excess and self-righteous posturing,” said Tucker. It’s an event, a happening, for them, and we Deplorables must look up to and learn from these avatars of morality.

Stand your ground, Kirstjen Nielsen, Head Of Homeland Security. Those breaking the border are using their kids as pawns, not you or President Trump.

Tom Homan, acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, certainly stood up to the sniveling, manipulative media with facts about the law and the right of national sovereignty. And, what do you know? THEY, in the person of Wolf Blitzer, CRUMBLED apologetically. The GOP is too dumb to have figured out that a backbone, and fidelity to just law, scares the Democrats more than anything.

Parents are custodians of their kids, not the US state and the American taxpayer.

With respect to The “Big Con,” as Jack Kerwick calls the entity that passes for conservatism:

Immigration virtue-signaler Jason Chaffetz proclaimed he “felt a moral obligation to the person trying to come here LEGALLY.” Ann Coulter corrected the con: “OR, TO THE AMERICAN TRYING TO GET A JOB.”

Also on Fix News’ the Next Revolutionary, the ego in the anchor’s chair (he hardly let Ann Coulter talk) was stymied by the quick-acting Ms. Coulter, who managed to turn to the camera and tell Trump and America, LOUDLY:

“Don’t listen to those child actors on TV.” LOL.

“The answer is don’t bring our kids in illegally”:

“They care about AMERICAN kids separated from their parents for life — killed by illegal aliens. NO compassion for Don Rosenberg, Mary Ann Mendoza, etc etc …”

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen did OK.

UPDATED (4/5/018): THE GOOD NEWS: Islamic State Has Collapsed. Of Course, There’s Also Bad, But Predictable, News …

Ann Coulter, Foreign Policy, Middle East, Military, Terrorism, War

America’s Saudi bosom buddies are displeased, and are objecting loudly to President Trump’s promise to withdraw from Syria. This, against the spectacular news that “Islamic State has collapsed.”

The Economist explains:

FOR a moment it looked as though Syria’s seven-year war, which has killed more than 400,000 people and contributed to the largest refugee crisis in recent history, might be winding down. As 2017 drew to a close, the so-called caliphate of Islamic State (IS) had disintegrated. The forces of the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, and the rebels fighting to dethrone him had largely stopped killing each other. Russia, which had intervened to save Mr Assad, said its mission was “basically accomplished” and had promised to bring its troops home.

The bad news is that with “the collapse of IS,” a “scramble for territory [has] ensued” between competing powers:

Turkey has sent troops over its border to battle Kurdish forces. Americans have killed Russians. And long-standing tensions between Iran and Israel have flared.

The collapse of IS has also widened fissures among the foreign powers jostling for a say in Syria’s future. In January America’s secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, said American troops would remain in Kurdish-held parts of Syria until IS no longer posed a threat, and a political solution to the war had been found. This infuriated Turkey, a NATO ally, which considers some of America’s Kurdish partners, the YPG, to be terrorists. Days after Mr Tillerson’s announcement, the Turkish army assaulted Afrin, a YPG-controlled pocket of territory in north-western Syria. There are no American forces in Afrin, but Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has threatened to march on Manbij, a town which does have them. This heightens the risk of direct clashes between two NATO powers and their proxies. America’s vow to stay in Syria has also angered Russia, which backed Turkey’s operation in Afrin. Seeking to test America’s commitment to its campaign, the Kremlin may have ordered Russian mercenaries to attack an American-supported base in the east—an attack that left scores of Russians dead.

“Oh what a tangled web we weave.”

UPDATE (4/5/018):

UPDATED (1/12): NEW COLUMN: DACA: ‘A Bill Of Love’ Or A Bill Of Goods?

Ann Coulter, Donald Trump, Family, IMMIGRATION

DACA: ‘A Bill Of Love’ Or A Bill Of Goods?” is the current column, now on Townhall.com. An excerpt:

“DACA.” That’s the magic word, the “Open Sesame” of sorts, that stopped Democrats from saying President Donald Trump was senile.

DACA is the acronym for “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.” The DACA program is Barack Obama’s grant of education, food stamps, health care, a shot at a job and a reprieve from deportation for the youthful alien among us.

Or, for the older illegal immigrant who still has that certain, impish je ne sais quoi, and can pass for a younger lawbreaker.

Trump said “DACA,” and he said it with love.

At a well-staged, “bipartisan immigration bill roundtable”—CNN’s billing—Trump vowed to pass “a bipartisan bill of love”:

“If we do this properly, DACA, you’re not so far away from comprehensive immigration reform. And if you want to take it that further step, I’ll take the heat, I don’t care. I don’t care—I’ll take all the heat you want to give me, and I’ll take the heat off both the Democrats and the Republicans. My whole life has been heat. (Laughter.) I like heat, in a certain way. But I will. … We’re going to come up with DACA. We’re going to do DACA, and then we can start immediately on the phase two, which would be comprehensive. … I think what we’re all saying is we’ll do DACA and we can certainly start comprehensive immigration reform the following afternoon. Okay? We’ll take an hour off and then we’ll start.”

Whether the president knew it or not, “comprehensive immigration reform” stands for amnesty.

High on whiffs of a DACA give-away, Democrats and their media dropped the charges of dementia being leveled at the president.

Which is when patriot Ann Coulter charged.

Today was “the worst day of Trump’s presidency,” she told  broadcaster Larry O’Connor. …

… READ THE REST. “DACA: ‘A Bill Of Love’ Or A Bill Of Goods?” is the current column, now on Townhall.com.

The column has a “Postscript.” It appears in the versions published on WND, The Unz Review and elsewhere. It’s the backdrop, the likely bigger picture, as to why The Donald’s “unsexy,” America-First agenda has yielded:

… These are early-innings for the ambitious young couple in the White House.

Daddy’s girl and her poodle, Jared Kushner, long “to press flesh with local and global elites.” As I pointed out in April of 2017—back when Trump bombed Syria for Ivanka—Davos is upon us. “Befitting young Democrats in high-society,” the two want to attend this, the World Economic Forum, also “the ultimate schmooze fest of the elite.”

I suspect the duo will accompany Daddy to Davos. And now that The Donald’s unsexy agenda has yielded to the Democrats and the Mexican Mafia (I mean lobby), Deplorables be damned—Ivanka and Jared will receive a warm welcome from the gilded and the glamorous.

That tidbit is on WND and The Unz Review.

UPDATE (1/12): From the Unz Review column version:

Bill Meyer says:
