What are the limited lessons so far from the shooting of a security guard, at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, by “an elderly gunman, believed linked to an anti-Jewish website?

I plan to address this for my weekly, Friday, WND column.

In the meantime, I invite the usual suspects to let their fertile imaginations run wild on the blog. Within reason, of course.

Update (June 11): I don’t think James W. von Brunn could have belonged to Mensa, the high-IQ society, as he claimed. A Mensa member with an interest in the Federal Reserve Bank (ask Vox Day) would know that raising interest rates—to reduce America’s ongoing, decades-long, orgiastic credit glut—is one of the more responsible things the Bank can do. Also a rare event.

    (1) Actually, I stated years ago that the US Government had no business operating a “Holocaust museum” and had to wait until Clinton tried to get Yassir Arafat invited as a honored guest there for people to agree with me. (2) I got stuck in a traffic jam today because the US, in its typical paranoia, shut down a whole square mile of DC over a single 89 year old gunman who had already been shot and taken to the hospital. (3) The other obvious point is that if the shooter was a Moslem, the media would mention that about 0.001 times as often as that he is “right wing”. I expect the media to soon claim that von Brunn was lured to the shooting by fantasies of Ann Coulter (I’m thinking back to Hinckley and Jodie Foster and the Reagan shooting).

[LOL; I knew I would get fertile ideas from my “pepes.”–IM]

The late Richard Estrada said: “The world is becoming more tribal.”

Richard was a syndicated columnist for the Dallas Morning News, and a board member of FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform).

He was speaking politely of Balkanization.

One of the downsides to listening to AM radio is the semi-hourly updates on stories like this. Heidi Beirich of the Southern Poverty Law Center just told me that this shooting was a more or less direct result of 1) the election of our very first Affffffrican American President, 2) frustration that the country is becoming more leftist every day, and 3) there are too many guns, which are evil. Meanwhile, not a word on the Allahu Akbar who shot and killed an American soldier at a strip mall recently.

Next time there’s a bank robbery in this country, our news organs should skip talking to the police and go straight to the United Bank Robbers of America to get their take. I’m tired of all this right-wing bias.

Already the SPLC goons are all over the cable networks telling us this is all a result of hatred of the Messiah (why someone motivated by anti-Obama sentiment would attack the Holocaust Memorial Museum is never quite explained). Of course, the SPLC mouthpieces were saying how this shooting (and the one of Tiller) prove that the DHS was justified in its “right-wing extremist” report. I’m sure the liberal-left idiots on MSNBC and the Daily Kos will find someway to blame Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Tea Party demonstrators.

Again, the media was all over this story because the shooter was a white male, but again, couldn’t be bothered to give half the coverage they gave to this story and the Tiller shooting to the murder of an American soldier in Arkansas by a domestic jihadist who claimed he carried out the assassination for the “sake of Allah.” Yesterday we also saw the conviction of another American-born jihadist that had plotted to commit acts of terrorism against the US. Yet the buffoons on CNN would rather have us believe that the threat from domestic “right-wing” terrorists is on par with the threat from jihadists.
