Lovely Lack of Legislative Accomplishment

Lack of legislative accomplishment, according to former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, makes his fellow GOP 2012 candidate Rep. Michele Bachmann “unfit to be President.”

On NBC’s Meet the Press today, Pawlenty went after Bachmann, who holds significant leads in the polls, saying “Her record of accomplishment in Congress is nonexistent — it’s nonexistent.”

Pawlenty should look for another angle to bolster his lackluster presidential campaign. Unless they are passing legislation to repeal other legislation, the less legislating the clowns in Congress do, the better—for every one of us. An example of a good legislative record is that of “Dr. No,” aka Ron Paul.

Naturally, it’s hard to find information about how voluminous the United States Code is, but it’s safe to presume that it has its own dedicated building.

And you expected the Republicans to behave like gentlemen? That would be a total role reversal. Remember how they turned on McCain when he brought in Palin; he lost the whole party’s support after that. The ‘good ol boys’ party is going to stay that way.

Yes, “divided” gov’t is always the least awful. Look at this sudden Republicrat discovery of Fiscal Responsibility…as usual, when a Dem is Prez.

Yes sir, Tim, what we need is someone with good legislative ACCOMPLISHMENTS like passing Leave No Child Behind, starting Wars in Afghanistan, Wars in Libya, Wars in Iraq, expanding Medicare, expanding the War on Drugs, blockading trade with nations, establishing a Department of Homeland Security, Midnight Basketball,
America Corps, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, OSHA, EPA, Ethanol subsidies, Syn-fuels Corporation, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac. Sallie Mae, Department of Veterans Affairs, Transportation Security Administration, Abstinence Education, American Dream Downpayment Act, TARP, Stimulus Packages 1 ..through .. N, making the tax code more complex, expansion of NATO, the UN, foreign aid, Export-Import Bank – maybe someone like Joe Lieberman or McCain would be perfect for the job!

Comments like that intellectual sludge Pawlenty are reasons why I am nearly 100% completely apathetic about replacing “soft socialist” Obama with one of those “soft fascist” Republican opponents. It is like getting into an argument over which spoon to use to bail out the Titanic while it is flooding.

No doubt, in 2012, sensible people will be bombarded with the same old trash like why it was needed to vote for Dole over Clinton or Bush over Gore or Manure A over Manure B…Yawn.

Plus more than 10 pages of instructions, regulations and decisions per page of code.

Some inciteful analysis of the (largely) trashy nature of the 2012 Republican field by Vox Day at WND.COM:

As for the famous word “ACCOMPLISHMENTS” – I am reminded by the dialog in the movie “The Robe”
    at 2 hours 2 minutes:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wbHZaWDmyM

“Do you believe these stories that this Jesus could make blind people see and cripple people walk”

“There are no stories that he made anyone blind or made anyone a cripple!”

Let’s hear it for lack of “accomplishments”!

I don’t know if Michelle is my choice but I have always liked her and her style. The chicken s–t attacks from the Republican establishment only strengthen my opinion of her.

I like Bachmann but the third rate media is doing all they can to destroy her. I just read a headline that say “Bachmann criticizes black farmer settlement”. This is about a multi billion dollar settlement paid to black farmers who claim the federal government discriminated against them for decades when awarding loans and other aid. This is an AP story by Margery Beck. She and Ron Paul will be marginalized by the Republican establishment and described as extremists by the marxist left and third rate media. Good luck Michelle!
