The following is a good description of our OVERLORDS WHO ART ON MOUNT OLYMPUS:

“Like those of imperial Rome, America’s elites are an urban and international group, perhaps on their way to forming a distinct transnational class. They are cosmopolitan-citizens who often have more in common with members of that same class around the world than with other members of their own society. The elites of Washington, Mew York, Los Angeles, and Boston may be American by birth, but their wall hangings are from Peru, their sculptures from Nunavut, their literary fiction from Sri Lanka, their CDs from Brazil, their basmati from India, their wine from New Zealand. Their religious values, if they have any, may be drawn impressionistically from Eastern and Western traditions—an eclectic pantheon.” [Excerpted from Are We Rome? The Fall of An Empire And The State of America by Cullen Murphy, 2007, p. 147.]

The true Axis of Evil runs from the salons of Georgetown all the way up to Harvard Yard.

Throughout history, there have been ‘elites’ that wrung everything the could from their host societies, left them in shambles and left for safer climes. The Kuomintang Chinese come to mind. Where are these supranational parasites going to flee to, if they finally manage to bring the global economy to ruin ? Planet Mars ?

My issue vs. self-proclaimed elites is twofold: (1) claiming superiority which, generally, both arrogant and arbitrarily in the eye of the beholder AND (2) claiming furthermore that this alleged “superiority” entitles one to rule the planet and run everyone’s lives.

However, I also see no corresponding inherent superiority in someone whose interest goes no farther than the little nook they and the last 4 generations grew up with. In fact, in Eastern Europe, a bias towards the inbred often created conflicts between the “local” peasantry and the “cosmopolitan” Jews. When these same Jews in the late 19th and early 20th century embraced internationalism, Zionism, socialism, and/or communism – the cultural differences often had deadly consequences.

While I am mostly a cultural clod, I don’t see anything wrong with some sort of Renaissance curiosity about the world. The problem is not too much knowledge but a lack of wisdom. An excess of knowledge without wisdom and perspective leads to hubris. Hence, we have the Hahvahd
Law School Mr. and Mrs. Obama, King and Queen of Planet Earth.

Thinking it over, you have a point. The “international” elites seem to want to run the domestic lives of all those ignorant “hillbilly” Americans – hence the WELFARE state.

Meanwhile, the good ole boy Bushes and Palins, waving their American flags and screaming USA USA seem to insist that the entire world should be made in our image – hence the bathos for “the troops” and hence the WARFARE state.

Combine both elites and it is called the bankrupt state!

“The State is the coldest of all cold monsters, and coldly it tells lies, and this lie drones on from its mouth: ‘I, the State, am the people’.” -Nietzsche
In some ways I am glad Obama is president because he is so obviously not “one of us.” Bush could clear brush on his ranch in his cowboy outfit and managed to fool everyone into believing he was a Texan cowboy when he’s really a Connecticut aristocrat.

My respect for the elites is greatly tempered by the fact that since 1913, achieving wealth in this country has been, to a great extent, based on looting the poor and middle class via government backed fractional reserve banking.

“He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.” Proverbs 22:16

There are many kinds of poverty:

He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity. Ecclesiastes 5:10

The only hope against totalitarianism is a new revolutionary war of the ordinary people against the elites in Government.

As I recall, Rome’s degenerate elite was replaced by a new elite that originated in the forests of Germany. America’s degenerate elite will be replaced by a new elite that will have originated south of the Rio Grande, barring some other unforeseen mass migration. In any case, the new elite will not speak English and will not bear the least resemblance to America’s founding population. Those few of us who survive the transition will feel a certain nostalgia for the old American elite, as sorry as it’s been.
