To listen to “conservatives,” one would think George Bush and his murderous band of neoconservatives held a vastly different position to Obama’s on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process farce. Nothing of the sort. First, the Arab Spring is as much Bush’s wet dream as it is Obama’s. To wit, necons have not stopped gushing about the “virtual reality of the ‘Arab Spring,'” “in spite of the [Arabs’] 1,400 year old systemic track record of tyranny, terror, political violence, uncertainty, volatility and treachery.”
Who other than the “Skeeza who is a Condoleeza” and her boss Bush pushed for “democratic” elections in the PA? Having superimposed their phantasmagoric narrative about Iraq on the world, Bush and Rice set about validating the Palestinian parallel universe. They forced Israel to let Hamas, whose plank includes the destruction of Israel, to campaign openly in East Jerusalem. The Bush-supported free elections in the territories saw the “Palestinian People” vote overwhelmingly for the “Islamic Resistance Movement” (Hamas). When that transpired, George Bush deceived the American people. He told them that Palestinians want peace and that their “yes” to Hamas was merely a yen for healthcare and other welfare.
The following are excerpts from a statement George W. Bush’s gave in January 10, 2008, during a visit to the “Holy Land”:
“The point of departure for permanent status negotiations to realize this vision seems clear: There should be an end to the occupation that began in 1967. The agreement must establish Palestine as a homeland for the Palestinian people, just as Israel is a homeland for the Jewish people. … I believe that any peace agreement between them will require mutually agreed adjustments to the armistice lines of 1949 to reflect current realities and to ensure that the Palestinian state is viable and contiguous. I believe we need to look to the establishment of a Palestinian state and new international mechanisms, including compensation, to resolve the refugee issue.”
W’s Solomonic wisdom extended to an assertion about the sanctity of Jerusalem to Palestinians. Another lie. Jerusalem was sacred to Jews for nearly two thousand years before Muhammad and is not once mentioned in the Koran.
BHO may be doing one better than Bush, but Bush led the way; he’s the original flea bag.

No offense to drag queens, but “Republicans are the drag queens of politics. Peel away the pules for family, faith and fetuses and one discovers either ‘neoconservative welfare-warfare statists or global social democrats,’ or national socialists of sorts, who fuse economic protectionism, populism and a support for the very welfare infrastructure that is at the root of the social rot they decry” (November 06, 2002).

You might want to fact check this data Ilana but I recall reading a couple of years ago that since the Six-Day War Palestinian life expectancy among Arabs in the newly “occupied” territories increased from something like 46 to around 67. And I’m pretty sure that the largest single source of aid, both direct and indirect, to Palestinians (arguably outside of Hamas and Iran) is (drum roll please) Israel. It’s been three or four years since I read this & I don’t remember the source but I expect it’s something that could be verified if one were so inclined to look into it…

So true that W and Condi were in the exact same camp as Obama on the Palestinian “situation.” I think it goes back to Daddy Bush and James Baker (no lover of Israel and totally in the Arab camp). Contiguous boundaries, right to return even with a 2-state (non)solution – all designed for the destruction of Israel. When will the West get it – there is no desire for peace in the Muslim world, unless you consider the old Communism definition (when everyone’s a communist, then there will be peace in the world).
We have nothing but flea bag choices. Herman Cain is a smart man, experienced in the business world, but if he is all fine with the Arab’s right to return to Israel, then he is just a male Sarah Palin: a political lightweight who can give a rousing speech…so can Barry and look where that got us.

(1) PARTISANSHIP – People seem capable of denial of facts in order to cram any B.S. into their worldview. A hardcore Democrat friend, upset over what has occurred over the last 3 years, blames it on “Republicans controlling everything” as if the 2008 elections were Republican victories! Similarly, I’ve heard how the trillions of big spending, deficits, Medicare expansion, and bailouts were all caused by the Democrats. In other words, anything bad is caused by the other party!
(2) AMERICAN IMPERIALISTIC MICROMANAGEMENT – more relevant, who declared the office of American President as arbiter of the borders of Israel (or Lichtenstein)??? Both political parties (Ron Paul excepted) take this global view and to “discover” nano-nuances of “differences” between the Bushian Blather versus the Obama Oratory is to ignore the forest for the mitochondria in a single leaf.
(3) PEACE FALLACY: The importance of “borders” proves the inanity of the peace process – Albertans in Montana or Montanans in Alberta are irrelevant because there really is US-Canada peace. Uprooting people to make land Judenrein for “peace” is a complete admission that the process is inherently flawed. If the Arabs supported, there could be a “Chabad of Mecca” and everyone would yawn!
