Gratitude Breeds Contempt

Africa, Healthcare, Race, Racism, The West

When do wimpy whites put down their stethoscopes, in this particular case, and say, “No more. F-ck this. I’ve had enough”? The family of the late Thomas Eric Duncan, the index patient who brought Ebola to the US, is accusing the “system” involved in his expensive, tax-funded care with racism, after considerable encouragement from loathsome media.

Incompetent perhaps, but racist?

Had he survived, Duncan’s own government, promised Liberian Ambassador to the U.S, Jeremiah Sulunteh, intended to sue him for lying to authorities about his exposure and placing many others at risk.

“When it comes to America,” writes Daniel Greenfield at FronPage Magazine, “no good deed goes unpunished.”

the fact that America took in this guy and provided him medical care only becomes another indictment. Duncan grew up next to a leper colony in Liberia. His family were resettled as refugees. He chose to go back to Liberia and brought a highly lethal and infectious disease to the United States.
And for all the charity that America gave this clan, they’re now bashing America.

Neoconservatives assiduously avoid speaking openly about race. Considering this reality, it is understandable that the author couches the hostility evinced by the Liberian clan against their American benefactors as a case of hostility against the nebulous entity neocons (like Dinesh D’Souza’s) dub America.

I dealt with D’Souza’s incongruities in “D’Souza’s Epic ‘America’ Error.” Either way, if media were moral and in the habit of practicing journalism, they’d report the story and its outcome and leave it be. “Analysis” by the Idiocracy is unwarranted.

Invariably, Africa has a lot for which to thank selfless Westeners. And gratitude breeds contempt.

American Moral Relativism Meets African Traditional Morality

Africa, Conservatism, Healthcare, Morality

Anyone who hails from Africa proper knows how conservative Africans are. Most authentic Africans would find the left-liberalism and moral relativism of Americans repugnant.

Read on.

Patient Zero, the man who brought Ebola to the US, is Thomas Eric Duncan. According to Binyah Kesselly, board chairman of the Liberia Airport Authority, Duncan lied on a Liberian health screening questionnaire.

Duncan answered “no” to questions about whether he had cared for a patient with the deadly virus and whether he had touched the body of someone who died in an area affected by the disease.

Speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper, the Liberian Ambassador to U.S, Jeremiah Sulunteh, condemned “this kind of behavior” (deception), and said that the Liberian government intended to take legal action against the man.

“Our hearts are broken to witness this reckless behavior on the part of Duncan,” lamented the Liberian ambassador. “Duncan has violated Liberian public-health law and this is punishable. He has done something shameful. We are truly sorry and apologize to the US, a country that has been there for Liberia all the way.”

Very decent sentiments you say.

Tapper, however, looked on aghast, replying with a non sequitur: How can Liberia prosecute a victim of the disease who is suffering so?

Of course, the one issue has nothing to do with the other: If a man knowingly concealed that he might have been weaponized with Ebola—he has a moral culpability to other human beings.

Tapper, however, has seldom encountered such moral certitude of this kind among folks in the homeland. He knows only the moral relativism that pervades America.

Beware Of Little Men With Big-Man Mania

Africa, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, South-Africa, The West

Big-man mania: All those effete Anglo-American, left-liberals (and lite libertarians) suffer from it. I call it the homo-eroticism of left-liberalism. The great Dan Roodt, South Africa’s finest polemicist, suspects “all this talk of ‘Madiba magic’ might be code for some supernatural, Harry Potter-like influence.” He writes:

…I have often thought that Mandela had bewitched a good portion of the Anglo-American ruling class that in turn infected the stupid Europeans who are progressively losing the capacity for independent thought. All this talk of “Madiba magic” might be code for some supernatural, Harry Potter-like influence.

As everone knows, some forms of muti are taken as a cure for an evil spell, while others are used precisely to bewitch the victim. A black man who has designs on a woman who is rejecting him could buy some muti from a sangoma to ensure that she falls in love with him.

In Europe, Nietzsche and others wrote about the “twilight of the idols”. However, in Africa the idols are thriving, with the messianic Mandela being the biggest idol of them all. It seems only a few cantankerous Christians still refuse to bow to him, but not the Clintons, the king of the Netherlands or Barack Obama. Even George W. Bush came as a pilgrim to South Africa this week.

During his speech at Soccer City on the outskirts of black Soweto, Obama cast himself in the role of Mandela’s understudy, a humble disciple to the famous Xhosa.

I suppose in the days of the Roman Empire, people were also nonplussed about the seemingly inexorable rise of a strange new cult, Christianity. In the face of global grief over Mandela’s “exchanging the temporary for the eternal”, as the local Afrikaans saying goes, most mainstream conservatives have joined in eulogizing Mandela. British PM David Cameron, who had wanted to “hang Mandela”, together with other Young Conservatives, reacted to Mandela’s death with …

… How do we explain such empathy, nay admiration, for a card-carrying member of the South African Communist Party in so-called Western conservative leaders? After all, I cannot recall similar expressions of sorrow when Georges Marchais of the French Communist Party or the East German stalwart, Erich Honecker, expired in 1997 and 1994, respectively.

The answer is that, unlike the venerable European leftists Marchais and Honecker, who had also waged a life-long struggle against fascism and racism – both leaders were among Mandela’s staunchest allies – Comrade Mandela assuages white guilt. …
