The Pence Omen: Pro Wars, Pro Islam, Not-So-Pro-Private Property

Donald Trump, Islam, Private Property, Republicans

I hope I’m wrong. But I have a feeling “The Trump Revolution: The Donald’s Creative Destruction Deconstructed” may have documented and deconstructed the heyday of The Donald.

Letting dynamo Corey Lewandowski go was the first mistake. Hiring Gov. Mike Pence the next. I’m with my good friend Clyde Wilson, when he expressed trepidation about the Pence omen:

I am not alone in fearing that he has now betrayed himself, his cause, and his country by giving in to his discredited Establishment enemies. It is not at all clear that Pence adds any strength to the ticket or to a future administration. He could well prove a bleeding ulcer to Trump. His selection confuses a clear and winning message. Trump should have, if true to himself, chosen a new man—someone young and dynamic and dedicated to destroying Establishment power and obfuscation.

Pence disavowed the Muslim ban. Donald went with the Pence announcement on the eve of Nice (pronounced with French affectation). Nice! (As in the English word used here cynically.) I hope it turns out, but I don’t think there will be recompense for Pence.

Last I wrote about Pence, it was to urge, “Get off your knees, Gov. Pence! (you’re not in a gay bathhouse).” What had Pence done? He failed to “muster a coherent defense of the bedrock of a free republic—and of civilization itself: the rights of private property and freedom of association.” Pence did not vigorously defend the rights of private property to refuse to serve, in this case, I think it was the gay cake Gestapo.

Let’s Hope Newt Gingrich Has Been Neutered As VP

While cuddling with Van Jones (former special advisor for green jobs to Barack Obama, and all-round politically privileged and successful African-American), Newt Gingrich said this:

… it’s more dangerous to be black in America… it’s more dangerous in that you’re substantially more likely to end up in a situation where the police don’t respect you where you could easily get killed. I think sometimes for whites it’s difficult to appreciate how real that is.
“It took me a long time, and a number of people talking to me through the years to get a sense of this … If you are a normal, white American, the truth is you don’t understand being black in America and you instinctively under-estimate the level of discrimination and the level of additional risk.

Gingrich got even dumber. On July 11, Bill O’Reilly played clips of Gingrich saying that if a white president had gone on about a dead white kid who looked just like him; it should be deemed racist.

How stupid. I hate this game of, “What if a conservative had said this; what if a white person had said this.” Invariably the claim doesn’t check out. Obama is a racist not because he disgorged that longing line about Trayvon Martin, but because of the context detailed in “America’s Sick of Obama’s Racial Dog-Whistles .”

Obama is blackist racist not because of that Trayvon line, but because the president has demonstrated he identifies with black America as against white America.

Is Martha MacCallum racist because she was the only anchor who had the heart to poignantly remember one beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed, all-American boy, who looked like her son and died by an ugly, malevolent hate-filled Muslim?

“A nineteen year old, suburban boy. Strawberry blond, athletic, bright and smiley. … When I look at this picture of Brendan Tevlin,” wrote MacCallum, for the Fox News Insider, “I think, he could have been my son.”

Brendan Tevlin was murdered in suburban America by a Jihadi, as he drove home to mom. A precious boy’s death at the hands of the detritus of humanity did not rate a mention by the moron media.

MacCallum writes from the heart. Her lede hints at a president that saw fit to tell the nation that he identified with the Trayvon Martins of the world, not the Tevlins.

MacCallum’s plainspoken column reaches deeper than the convoluted fare of most. From her perch at Fox News, the anchor can’t be expected to go further and state that Barack Obama has often demonstrated he is the president of black America; cares most about things African (he’s sending the military to degrade Ebola) …

The Last Refuge Of A Brussels Or British Scoundrel: Bureaucracy

Britain, Donald Trump, EU, Europe, Republicans, Ron Paul, The State

Republicans have The Romney Rule Or Rule 40(b) which they passed to thwart Ron Paul’s chances. The same GOP scoundrels still hope they can use sleight of hand to change the rules at Convention to defeat Donald Trump.

Brussels has a bureaucracy so formidable, it hopes to mire Briton Brexiters in rules and bamboozle the poor people who voted to leave, so that they’ll never notice something called “Article 50,” necessary for departure, is never triggered.

This is mandarin mambo-jumbo for pulling a fast one on the voters:.

Britain “may never” trigger the formal divorce process with the EU despite last week’s referendum in which the country voted to leave, EU diplomats said Sunday.

“My personal belief is they will never notify” the EU about their intention to leave, a senior EU diplomat said on condition of anonymity.

A state leaving the EU must formally notify the European Council of all 28 EU leaders under Article 50 of the 2007 Lisbon Treaty, setting the clock ticking on a two-year period for Britain to negotiate its divorce.

“We want London to trigger Article 50 now, to have clarity. I expect, as we can’t force them, for them to take their time,” the diplomat added.

“And I would not exclude, it’s my personal belief, that they may never do it.”

The official did not specify if he believed Britain would avoid it by holding a new referendum, or simply dragging out the process to extract a better divorce deal, but said all such decisions were up to London.
