‘Former Springbok Accused Of Deadly Axe Rampage’

Crime,Race,Racism,South-Africa

Before you read about yet another grisly, garden-variety crime in South Africa (detailed below), here is what you should know: A hardcore criminal in my former homeland has at least a ninety percent chance of getting away with murder; conviction rates in South Africa hover at a dismal eight percent. In South Africa, crime pays.

In my forthcoming book, “Into the cannibal’s Pot; Lessons for America from Post-Apartheid South Africa” (more), due out on May 10, I compare murder rates in the New South Africa with those in the developed world. For example “Between April 2004 and March 2005, 18,793 people were murdered in South Africa (population 43 million). In comparison, the ‘high-crime’ United States (population 299,398,000) suffered 16,740 murders. South Africa has sixty homicides per 100,000 people; the US approximately six.”

These crime and conviction rates should be the backdrop to the following story, reported by the “Independent ie.” That, and the fact that HIV positive rapists and home-invaders are called “burglars”:

A former South African international rugby player has been accused of going on an axe-murdering rampage, killing “at least” three people.
The player is alleged to have killed the men in revenge for the gang rape of his daughter, who contracted HIV as a result of her assault.
South African police said the black player hacked his victims to death with an axe. One was decapitated. Others were assaulted, but managed to escape. The player’s identity is being withheld from publication to prevent his daughter from being identified.
However, it is understood that the girl was attacked after a break-in at the family’s home in Durban.
A gang of four burglars abducted the teenager, then raped her in a nearby wooded area. She subsequently was diagnosed as having HIV.
Enraged by his daughter’s fate, her 34-year-old father is said to have brazenly stalked one of the impoverished townships near his home.

Read the complete story. Nowhere does the reporter say if the murdered had been implicated in the crime avenged. He does tell you that, “Many South Africans had wrongly assumed [the killer] is white and that therefore there may have been a racial element to the attacks, but a police spokesman yesterday confirmed that he is black.”

In other words, had the butcher been one of the many white fathers whose daughters had been raped, killed, or sentenced to a slow death via HIV—the killing would have a racial aspect, rather than be motivated by revenge.

Speaking of “black racism,” don’t forget part 2 of my conversation with my colleague Erik Rush. It’ll be up on WND tonight. Here’s part 1.

Where does one begin to comment? The fact that the reporter reckons a white vigilante has a different set of rights to his black counterpart? Or that “burgle” is a euphemism for rape (i.e. non-consensual sex)? Or that the police will only later investigate the daughter’s rape?

Ilana, what would you make of these articles I link below? What would you judge to be the actual story?

The first states his daughter wasn’t raped.

The second states he doesn’t have a daughter.

These articles are being cited on a popular news aggregator site reddit.com as the real story. There is someone giving a great defense about the true nature of SA police on the comments though.

[These appear to be comments, not articles. The facts of the New South Africa are in my book, well-sourced, in great detail. Start with a search, under South Africa, on my Articles Archive.]

It is commonly understood that most home invaders, rapists and killers are known by the victims, it would stand to reason that the father went after the actual perps. When the police cease to function properly, it becomes the duty of the citizen to protect the home and execute justice. The news or press has always been the lap dog of whatever form of government that is in power and perpetrates its policy by downplaying that which is not politically correct.

I don’t care if the father was black or white. I don’t see the difference when a man’s family is involved. Good for this guy. I am not a stickler for law and order when a man, or a woman, is dealing with an attack on their family. I just hope he got the guilty parties.

It is pathetically ironic that the one thing that government is supposed to do (such as protect lives and property by punishing crime) it does not do (or appear to care to do) while the many things it should not do (resitribute income, etc.), it pursues zealously.

The US homicide rate has slipped to five per 100,000 people since you wrote your article in the mid-2000s.

I hope that Ilana has some ideas on how to solve South Africa’s problems in her upcoming book! She probably will, but in the meantime I would like to recommend Hans-Hermann Hoppe to the Afrikaners who still have a little fire left in their bellies.

[The wonderful Prof. Hoppe, you’ll be pleased to know, has provided a blurb for the book and is quoted, of course.]

Another point that is conveniently left out of all the reports on this crime is that if the axe murderer is 34 years old, what would his daughter’s age be? This is what’s happening in SA all the time. As a South African father I’m terrified to have to raise two daughters in this hellhole. These rapists come from a cultural background where you take what you want when you want it. These are the same people that possibly sit next to my daughter at school. How am I supposed to deal with this when the SA government refuses to lift a finger to protect it’s citizens?
