Can we cut the cr-p, kids? Forgive my language, but, as Ecclesiastes teaches, there’s a time for everything. The time to cuss is now.

“Radical Islamic terrorism”: He has to be able to say it! This, preach conservative talking heads, is the acid test for electing the next American president.

Is this convoluted concept one you can even remember?

“Radical Islamic terrorism” is like the LGBTQ acronym, it’s a mouthful. It’s unmemorable, unintuitive and does not accurately describe the vile men and women who menace us in our American, English and European homelands.

“Radical Islamic terrorist” is, very plainly, wrong.

Language mediates behavior. In order to properly respond to these vipers among us who elect to kill us despite our kindness toward them, stateside, we do indeed need to properly describe them.

To be vested in linguistic accuracy is to be vested in the truth. The closer language cleaves to reality, the greater the likelihood that correct, and corrective, action will follow.

Certainly the term of choice must reflect reality, not ideology, Right or Left. Why so? If we don’t describe exactly who these killers are, we’ll be unable to eject them from our midst.

“ISIS” is not attacking us; certain Muslim immigrants are. The Islamic State simply inspires them the way progressive rock guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen might move me.

The more abstract the expert Idiocracy gets in defining our problems, the more removed will be their solutions—removed from solutions that are the legitimate purview of limited government. You and I will be forced to pay for their elaborate schemes.

So don’t be fooled.

ISIS and an abstract ideology called “radical Islamic terrorism”—a redundancy, if ever there was one, since Islam is radical—are not attacking us. Men and women upon whom we’ve conferred the right to live among us are.

These are individuals who are part of us, not part of ISIS. ISIS is happy they kill us. It’s pleased to continue providing inspiration, even training. But the ephemeral ISIS did not send them to kill us. We invited them here in the idiotic believe that they were like us.

These Muslim killers are Americans, Europeans and Englishmen. We’ve made them so. …

Has Trump Awakened John C. Calhoun’s Concurrent Majority?

“Has Trump Awakened John C. Calhoun’s Concurrent Majority?” is the current column, now on Townhall.com. An excerpt:

In his August 20 rally in Fredericksburg, Va., Donald Trump continued to say things surprisingly basic. Or, “insubstantial,” if you believe the presstitutes (with apologies to prostitutes, who do an honest day’s work and whom I respect). I paraphrase:

We are going to take our country back.

It is going to be a new day in America. It is going to be a great day in America.

Government will listen to the people again. The voters, not the special interests, will be in charge. Ours will be a government of, by, and for the people.

Our economy will grow. Jobs will come back. New factories will stretch all across the nation.

Families will be safe and secure. Crime will go down. Law and order will be restored to these United States of America.

In Charlotte, NC, on August 18, Trump spoke of embracing weeping parents whose kids were killed by illegal immigrants. Immigration laws will be enforced, he promised. Make every city a Sanctuary City for Americans, not their killers (OK, the last line is mine).

We’re going to reject globalism and put America first. The era of national building is over.

And again: It’s going to be America first from now on; we’re going to put country first, our American workers first, our people first. Trade deals will protect the American worker again, roared Trump.

It’s hard to keep up with all the impassioned addresses the high-energy Mr. Trump has given in the last week. However, his law-and-order speech in Charlotte was especially phenomenal, because so very basic:

One thing I’ll promise you, I will always tell you the truth. I will speak on behalf of the voiceless, return the government to the people; give the people their voice back. I will never let you down.

Let our kids be Dreamers too, suggested Trump. He was alluding to the affectionate legislation and terminology developed by the New York-Washington axis of power for its young, illegal-alien protégés.

In Trump you have a political outsider, despised by the media-congressional-donor complex, talking to the multitudes living in Rome’s provinces and groaning under the burden of its policies. To this voiceless Common American is Trump vowing to give a voice.

Also in Charlotte, Trump said he’d never put special interests before American interests, pointing out that none controlled him. “My only interest is the American people.”

And from West Bend, Wisconsin, where Trump materialized on August 16, he declared: “I’m with you, the American People. We’ll once again be a country of law-and-order and unparalleled successes. I’m with you; I’ll fight for you; I’ll win for you.”

The American scheme of government was meant to be pretty basic—more about what government was to refrain from doing to its people than what it was to do for them. America’s Silent Majority is hankering for pitifully fundamental things from a government that has forgotten this.

As I argue in “The Trump Revolution: The Donald’s Creative Destruction Reconstructed,” Trump is no “visionary vis-à-vis government.” If anything, “he is practical and pragmatic. He wants a fix for Americans, not a fantasy.”

TRUMP’s Home Is Scaled; But MAD Media Fear For Hillary’s Life

Media collective has gone from malfunctioning to mad, from “dishonest” to deranged. It’s no longer about simple media bias, but about changing perceptions about reality through reporting.

The latest disgrace has seen the Trump Tower, where Donald Trump and his family reside, scaled by a man seeking merely “a meeting with Trump.” Not at all ominous or suspicious, right?! No problem. And how droll.

Conversely, Trump (who generally speaks incoherently) makes an inarticulate, but straightforward, comment about the power of the gun lobby and its backers to stop the Clinton agenda; and media and their protege holler, “He’s calling for an assassination.”

Even Sen. Susan Collins, a Republican who despises Trump (and appears borderline retarded), said she saw nothing untoward in these Trump words:

“Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know,” Trump said. “But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we’re tied.”

What’s “under siege” is reality. The English language has become the tool for cultural Marxists who continually manufacture a parallel universe for their viewers. These miserable media are committing not microaggression, but major aggression.

CNN has even used the manufactured controversy to segue into an assault on the 2nd Amendment. Wait a sec, isn’t that what Trump is warning about?

Turn off the tube.

The Omen: Establishmentarian Paul Ryan Beats Rebel Paul Nehlen

By caving to GOP pressure and supporting the Other Guy Who Never Built a Thing, Paul Ryan, Donald Trump helped return Ryan to the House.

The opponent, Paul Nehlen, 47 had “hard-line views on immigration. He espoused enthusiasm for Trump’s proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border and said a discussion on deporting some Muslims was in order.” (WaPo)

For Ryan’s critics, the speaker’s victory represented an opportunity lost. Though they have long acknowledged that Nehlen’s insurgency was more quixotic than competitive, they had hoped that he would have come closer than he did Tuesday, believing that a strong finish would perhaps show Republicans nationally that the party’s Trump-aligned bloc was gaining. The key words in Ryan’s acceptance blather: We want unity (totalitarians don’t brook differences). We’ll restore the lost constitution.

I put the lie to that bit of fiction in the introduction to “The Trump Revolution: The Donald’s Creative Destruction Deconstructed,” titled “Welcome to the Post Constitutional Jungle.”

The Constitution is a dead letter. There is no bringing it back from the dead, buried as it is under rooms full of legislation, statute and legal precedent. The Constitution is the box Republicans check when they want to con their constituents.
