The Endless Arrogance Of Obama

Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Elections, English

Barack Obama began his presidency with hubris, promising in 2008 that, “This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.” He ends his eight lean years with the same boundless arrogance:

“I’m confident that if I had run again and articulated [my vision of progressive change], I think I could’ve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it.”

So said Obama to “his former senior adviser David Axelrod in an interview for the ‘The Axe Files.'”

Incidentally, while campaigning for Hillary Clinton, Obama told voters they had to vote for her because his legacy was at stake. Now that voters rejected Hillary and with her his legacy, Obama is denying that the devastating Democratic defeat was a reflection on that legacy.

Loser.

The wisest part of the interview with Obama is this:

“I have to — I have to be quiet for a while. I — I — and I don’t mean politically, I mean internally. I have to still myself and…”

What a great pick-up line.

And of course, Obama uses the part perfect tense correctly, quite rare in American letters these days. And he conjugates the verb to “run” correctly. Said the president, “If I had run again …” It would have been better had Obama said, “Had I run again.” Most writers or TV heads can’t conjugate. Sickening.

If To Believe Polls, Americans Want Illegals Legalized More Than Border Control

Elections, English, IMMIGRATION

Come again? And how are these pollsters phrasing their questions to get the desired answer?

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters now think legalizing the status of undocumented workers already living in the United States is more important than gaining control of the border.

See “Immigration Update: Support Jumps for Legalizing Those Here Illegally.”

Apparently Americans want:

More H1-B attacks on educated Americans’ prospects.
Less employment.
Suppressed wages due to infinite supply.
English as official language in decline.
The Democrats’ to elect a New People and displace the Historic American Nation.
Millions more to get Birthright Citizenship.

TRUMP’s Home Is Scaled; But MAD Media Fear For Hillary’s Life

Constitution, Donald Trump, English, GUNS, Hillary Clinton, Media, Republicans

Media collective has gone from malfunctioning to mad, from “dishonest” to deranged. It’s no longer about simple media bias, but about changing perceptions about reality through reporting.

The latest disgrace has seen the Trump Tower, where Donald Trump and his family reside, scaled by a man seeking merely “a meeting with Trump.” Not at all ominous or suspicious, right?! No problem. And how droll.

Conversely, Trump (who generally speaks incoherently) makes an inarticulate, but straightforward, comment about the power of the gun lobby and its backers to stop the Clinton agenda; and media and their protege holler, “He’s calling for an assassination.”

Even Sen. Susan Collins, a Republican who despises Trump (and appears borderline retarded), said she saw nothing untoward in these Trump words:

“Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know,” Trump said. “But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we’re tied.”

What’s “under siege” is reality. The English language has become the tool for cultural Marxists who continually manufacture a parallel universe for their viewers. These miserable media are committing not microaggression, but major aggression.

CNN has even used the manufactured controversy to segue into an assault on the 2nd Amendment. Wait a sec, isn’t that what Trump is warning about?

Turn off the tube.

Trump Owes Loyalty To Melania, Not To Pipsqueak Plagiarizer. Fire Her.

Donald Trump, English, Ethics, Etiquette, Media, Morality

Donald Trump landed in Cleveland with Mike Pence at his side. The candidate thanked family members by name for their contribution and/or speeches on his behalf, so far. He did not mention his wife Melania by name, a woman who did a spectacular job and to whom an enormous dissever has been done by a staff member who should be fired.

If a class act such as Corey Lewandowski, a man so eloquent in his loyalty to Trump, was escorted out of Trump Tower like a criminal—so too should a two-bit plagiarizer.

As the consummate writer who is wedded to her prose, I detest plagiarizers. I detest people so low as to refuse to acknowledge their sources, or place these apart from the main text in quotation marks.

Invalid here is the tit-for-tat argument that the foul Dems do it, too, and the media utter not a squeak when liberal lie and cheat. That’s no justification; it’s a non sequitur.

All writers should make a big fuss over plagiarism and settle down only when the plagiarizer is dealt what’s coming to her.
