UPDATED (10/23/017): Minneapolis Police Recruiting Imperils The Public

Minneapolis Police has been aggressively recruiting Somali Muslims. Just like the terrorist outfits al-Shabab and ISIS. Minneapolis Police’s recruiting effort was for the purpose of defending American citizens; ISIS and al-Shabab for the purpose of killing the same people.

When an American city’s practices converge with those of a terrorist outfit, isn’t that treason?

It turned out that the MURDER-BY-COP of Australian Justine Damond was the handiwork of a Somali Muslim officer with priors. His victim: a blond, blue-eyed yogi lady. Fast and furious. We’re importing them, then hiring and arming them. There’s even a Somali-American Police Association.

Here’s how it went down: The woman reported a possible assault in the alley adjacent to her home, in the Fulton neighborhood. A Somali cop arrives and shoots the first woman on the scene. I suppose she was wearing pajamas. (And Washington Post frets about Islamophobia in Minneapolis. A good dose of it—and a respect for life—might have been prudent in hiring considerations.)

“Hiring Another Swamp Creature For The FBI” is the new column, now on Townhall.com. An excerpt:

Christopher Wray, President Donald Trump’s FBI director nominee, seems a perfectly nice man. But nothing he has said during confirmation hearings on July 12 distinguishes him as someone who would reform Barack Hussein Obama’s Islamophilic FBI.

President Trump ran on a quixotic set of ideas about aggressively stopping Islamic terror. Like a fly-in-amber, the standard operating procedures (SOP) governing the Obama Federal Bureau of Investigation guarantee to preserve the same systemic, intractable failures that unleashed mass murderer Omar Mateen or Syed Farook and bride Tashfeen Malik, to maim and murder dozens of Americans.

From Wray’s comments to the Senate Judiciary Committee, we know how he’ll bravely break with President Trump, but that he’s partial to his predecessor, James Comey. To wit, Wray said he sided with Comey in rejecting a domestic surveillance program in 2004, “… not because he knew the substance of the dispute,” but because of his affection for Comey.

Given his unalloyed loyalty, Wray’ll be unlikely to remove from FBI training manuals the fiction about Jihad being a peaceful pillar of the Islamic faith.

To get a sense of how the outfit being glorified by the Senate panel operates, consider this: You hire a private firm to protect you, only to discover that, as part of your protection plan, your protectors undergo sensitivity training to desensitize them to potential perpetrators and evil-doers, thus giving the latter easy access to you and yours. This “strategy” would endanger your life. The company executing this harebrained scheme, moreover, would be in violation of its contractual obligation to keep you safe. If you came to harm, you’d sue.

But first, fire the fools before they get you killed.

Thanks to the president, we can only hope that firing the director of the FBI will become a new norm. For among his many other “virtues,” former FBI Director Comey believes that “unless [his] passport is revoked,” an American citizen who holds an American passport and who has fought for ISIS—maybe even decapitated a dhimmi or two—“is entitled to come back” to the US. We know this because Comey said it on “60 Minutes”!

In 2014, he was asked about the status of the fighters America, unwittingly, exports to ISIS Land. This sanctimonious civil servant, traitor to the people who pay for his keep, promised to “track [the fighters] very carefully,” after he let them in.

At the time, anchor Megyn Kelly had aptly used the word treason, although she applied it exclusively to ISIS-Americans, when they, at least, were being true to their vampiric god. To whom was Comey being true? Certainly not to the law. In Judge Andrew Napolitano’s telling, the federal government’s top law enforcement agent didn’t know the law [or, was willfully ignoring it]:

“[Comey] forgot there’s a statute called providing material assistance to a terrorist organization. So, if he knows that Americans have been fighting with ISIS and he also knows that the secretary of state has declared ISIS a terrorist organization, that is more than enough evidence for him to arrest them upon their re-entry to the U.S. It is crazy to let them back in and wait and see what they do.”

That’s our crazy Comey. And the new guy, Christopher Wray, loves him just the way he is.

Another swamp creature for whom Wray has “enormous respect” is former FBI Director Robert Mueller. “[T]he consummate straight shooter,” gushed Wray. …

Remembering The Best of America, Erik Scott, Killed By Cop

It is seven years today since Erik Scott was gunned down by three Las Vegas cops, for legally carrying concealed in Costco. What the criminals didn’t bargain for is that Erick’s father, Braveheart Bill Scott, would come after them. And he did.

This is an achingly beautiful tribute to Erik. Below is Bill’s social-media post:

Seven years ago today, my son, Erik, was gunned down by three Las Vegas cops. A super-sloppy cover-up and cop-clearing circus of an inquest ensured Erik’s killers were never held accountable.
However, that’s slowly changing. Justice is steadily unfolding in ways LV Metro police dept. and its corrupt allies never envisioned. For example, “The Permit”, a novel based on Erik’s murder has been read by thousands. And I have reason to believe a theatrical movie or TV mini-series based on the book will manifest fairly soon.

At 3:20 p.m. on July 20th, “What Happened in Vegas,” a superb documentary that features four murders-by-Metro, including Erik’s, is scheduled to show at the Anthem film festival in Las Vegas. This movie is an incredibly powerful indictment of what arguably is one of the most corrupt “justice” systems in America.

And a new nonfiction book I cowrote with two former police officers is in the publishing process. “License to Kill: The Murder of Erik Scott” is the truth that destroys LV Metro’s long string of lies and crimes. Stand by….

At 6’8”, 2.03m, James Comey towers over other mortals. Slender and clean cut, Comey cuts quite a figure. He carries himself and conducts himself like a patrician. But he’s also a snob who looks down at others, and certainly at the president.

A friend says James Comey “felt it was his job to protect the FBI from Trump,” and that Comey was “‘disgusted’ by the Trump hug.”

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: You described Comey’s concerns as — quote — “improper contacts and interferences from a group of people he, Comey, didn’t regard as honorable.”

What gave you that sense that he didn’t view these people as honorable people?

BENJAMIN WITTES: It was written on every line in his face. It was evident in the disapproving tone that he took when he described them.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Including the president?

BENJAMIN WITTES: Oh, very much so. The color of wallpaper was that these were not honorable people, and that protecting the FBI from them was his day job.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: You write about the famous hug, when Comey was asked to come with a bunch of different law enforcement agents to the White House soon after the inauguration.

BENJAMIN WITTES: Yes. So, Comey really didn’t want to go that meeting. And there were a lot of Democrats who kind of blame him for Trump. So, he was particularly sensitive to the idea of a sort of show of intimacy or closeness with Trump. That said, he didn’t feel that he could say no to an invitation from the president, particularly one that went generally to law enforcement senior officials. He really wanted to kind of blend in and not be singled out. And he’s 6’8”. So, when you’re…

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Kind of tough to do that.

BENJAMIN WITTES: And when you’re 6’8”, it’s really hard to blend in. And he stands in the part of the room that is as far from Trump as is physically possible to be, and also against blue drapes.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: He chose that spot?

BENJAMIN WITTES: He chose that spot because it was — almost like a chameleon. And then, at the end, right at the end, Trump singles him out in a fashion that he regarded as sort of calculated to maximally drive home this sensitivity of Democratic voters.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He’s become more famous than me.

BENJAMIN WITTES: And he extends his hand kind of preemptively, and Trump grabs the hand and kind of pulls him into a hug, but the hug is entirely one-sided. And Comey was just completely disgusted by the episode. He thought it was an intentional attempt to compromise him in public, in a way that would sow and emphasize concerns that half of the electorate had about him and the bureau.
