UPDATED (10/16/018): Dina Powel, Floated To Replace Nimrata Haley, Is ALSO Ivanka’s Liberal, BFF Recruit

Donald Trump, Family, Neoconservatism, UN

We dodged a bullet: The ambitious, liberal Ivanka Trump won’t be replacing neoconservative Nikki Hailey as UN ambassador.

But was POTUS floating an Ivanka trial balloon? Pray not. There is no winning when the Jarvanka duo is in charge.

One thing is certain: Jared Kushner is NO “hidden genius.” But as she exited the door, neocon Nikki Haley (herself no genius) has been proclaiming Jarvanka to be geniuses. Why? And what’s going on?!

As I’ve warned in past posts, “Haley, is a provincial idiot—a smalltime politician—whom President Trump has turned into a global power broker.” Likely at the behest of his daughter Ivanka. Haley is her close pal.

The same can be said for the woman rumored to replace Nimrata Haley: Dina Powel. She is “former adviser to Ivanka and now on Trump’s National Security Council.” As I pointed out in “The Matriarchy Is Gunning For John Kelly,” Powel “is a relic from Goldman Sachs and an Ivanka recruit.”

Powel is not only a liberal, but a member of the “‘Kushner-Cohn Democrats’ who ousted Stephen Bannon from the West Wing, and are, no doubt, gunning for John Kelly.”

Watch your backs, Deplorables.

UPDATED (10/1): Lindsey Graham’s “Spontaneous” Outrage

Elections, John McCain, Justice, Neoconservatism, Republicans

How Americans can believe a snake like Lindsey Graham is beyond me. It’s all about situational politics. And people fall for it—forgetting the man’s history of fecklessness. He has no principles. This is the late John McCain’s bosom buddy coming into his own, now that McCain is dead.

The man, Graham, is the foulest of politicians. But cunning. He has read the Republican base before a midterm. That’s all. Graham’s “spontaneous” outrage over the travesty against Brett Kavanaugh was so staged, likely rehearsed. What worries is that Republican voters are so desperate as to embrace the snake.

A healthy reaction to Graham should be this: “OK, you are behaving like a human being, for once. But watch it; you’re on probation. It you, Sen. Graham, agitate for wars against Iran or Syria, open borders (as has been your position hitherto), amnesty and against The Wall—you’re OUT.”

UPDATE 10/1: FACEBOOK Thread

Lindsey Graham is a snake who spent his political career writhing in the pit with another viper, John McCain. Graham has realized that his time is up; that he’d better do something right—represent Americans—aside make mainstream media love him.

UPDATED (9/19): Never Trumpers Plot Against Deplorables, Urge Conservatives To Vote Democratic

Democracy, Donald Trump, Elections, Neoconservatism, Republicans

Glenn Greenwald has brought up an issue I meant to tell you about some time ago:

DC ‘progressive’ elites [have] been forming policy groups and having lunches and dinners with Bill Kristol to plan joint Dem/neocon activism.

Its way worse than what GG says.

Via The Economist (Aug 9th 2018):

Never Trumpers, as President Donald Trump’s Republican critics are known, … Led by conservative pundits such as Max Boot, David Brooks, Bill Kristol, David Frum and George Will, they are few in number, gallantly in favour of things like free trade and fiscal discipline that Republicans used to care about, and probably doomed. Mr Trump’s hold over Republicans seems unbreakable. Almost 90% approve of his performance. “There is no Republican Party, there’s a Trump party,” says John Boehner, a former Republican congressional leader.

That conclusion, sharpened by the failure of elected Republicans to resist the president’s pandering to Vladimir Putin, has forced Never Trumpers to a moment of reckoning. Messrs Frum, Boot and Will urge conservatives to vote Democratic in the mid-terms. Mr Brooks and two Republican movers-and-shakers, Reed Galen and Juleanna Glover, are floating the idea of a new centrist party. A group part-founded by Mr Kristol, founder of the Weekly Standard, hopes to launch a primary challenge to Mr Trump. Among the more or less openly disaffected Republicans Mr Kristol is courting to lead the assault are Governor John Kasich of Ohio, Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Mitt Romney and Nikki Haley, Mr Trump’s ambassador to the UN. If none will oblige, Mr Kristol suggests he might have a crack at it himself.

UPDATE II (1/27/021): NO. IT’S NOT JOHN McCain: Celebrating The Life Of A Great American Who Brought Joy To The World

Donald Trump, Elections, John McCain, Music, Neoconservatism, Republicans, War

HER casket lies in state, TODAYShe brought joy and happiness to many millions across the world, without waging non-stop war to make the world in the image of her America. She is Aretha Franklin. Let us celebrate the life of this truly great American:

Aretha Franklin (who also had fighting words for the Brothers in her life), sang for the love of Jesus. “She was singing to God, just as when she screamed out her passion as a sinner cleansed by the blood of the Lamb: When my soul was in the lost and found/You came along to claim it. And when she threw out her arms wide under the spotlights, it was not to thank the fans who clamoured for her as much as to say, Precious Lord, take my hand.”

“Aretha Franklin died on August 16th: America’s undisputed Queen of Soul was 76”:

AT POINTS in her concerts, which enthralled America for 50 years, Aretha Franklin would fling her arms out wide. Sometimes it was to shrug her strong shoulders out of some satiny or feathery dress, or to throw away her long fur coat, like any diva (though she was the ultimate diva) who by the end of her career had won 18 Grammys and sold 75m records. Sometimes it was to embrace America, all colours, as when she sang “Precious Lord” at Martin Luther King’s funeral, or gave her rapturous version of “My Country ’tis of Thee” in a big-bow-statement hat at Barack Obama’s inauguration. Or possibly those arms just demonstrated how her voice, the whispering or crying height of it and drop-jaw depth of it, seemed to pass any limit that people might imagine.

Open arms suggested love, but more often Everywoman’s frustration, black or white. For every super-sharp man she daydreamed of, Turns me right on when I hear him say/Hey baby let’s get away, there would be ten who let her down: You’re a no-good heartbreaker/You’re a liar and you’re a cheat/And I don’t know why/I let you do these things to me. They messed with her mind, as she fumed in the Blues Brothers film in 1980, pummelling her palms into her big man’s stupid chest: Just think/Think about what you’re tryin’ to do to me. After all, it don’t take too much high IQs. Men in general didn’t begin to give her what she wanted, just a little respect when you get home…R-E-S-P-E-C-T/Find out what it means to me. This, her most famous song, wasn’t just about a put-down woman and a do-wrong man; it became the anthem of every liberation movement because of her roof-raising style. It was her personal anthem, too. She wished to be called “Ms Franklin”, to be paid cash and to be spared air-conditioning. All I’m askin’, honey.
Latest stories

Those wide arms also showed how her whole body sang. When she accompanied herself on the piano, big rampaging chords picked up from Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum, she sang with the stomach as well as heart and head. As a child of ten she’d understood that, hiding her chronic shyness behind the instrument while she sang “Jesus be a Fence Around Me” with the voice of an angel, or a grown woman. …

MORE in The Economist (August 23rd).

Naturally, it’s not John McCain and his “national greatness “conservatism.”

READ the expose on McCain’s history in Vietnam by Sydney Schanberg. Back in the days before American journalism became a circle jerk of power brokers, Mr. Schanberg was considered one of “America’s most eminent journalists.”

“John McCain and the POW Cover-UpThe “war hero” candidate buried information about POWs left behind in Vietnam, said Sydney Schanberg.”
