Breast feeding is a perfectly wholesome choice but so is privacy paramount. As is age- and gender appropriate behavior. At least in a healthy society, which our post-modern culture is certainly not.

“After a successful run overseas, reports RT, “Spain-based Berjuan Toys is bringing their Breast Milk Baby to the United States. The realistic play-thing aimed at kids two and up is trying to teach the youth of America that breast-feeding is a healthy, natural way to feed a baby — and this is something that can be taught with a $90 piece of plastic complete with a realistic suckling mechanism.”

I don’t mean to be a prude, but I’m glad my daughter was raised at a time, not so long ago, when “My Little Pony” was prized above all toys—lots of My Little Ponies and paraphernalia. How innocent and sweet such play-things now seem.

I don’t want your two-year-old tot playing with mine if yours is a precocious, sexualized brat who shows mine how to append a suckling doll to her tiny chest and encourages little brother to join in the breast-feeding “fun.”

Children learn socially appropriate behavior through role models and modeling. Having breast fed my daughter until she rejected me (at 10 months), I did so in private and was modest about it. No one feels comfortable around a woman who insists that her mammary glands are not sexual object too, and foists them on bashful company (now boys, behave yourselves).

And who wants a two-year-old brat to sound like a breastfeeding advocate during playtime? Propagandized American kids are painful enough as it is.

The feminization of little boys is as serious as the sexualization of little girts. Oh for boyhood before BB guns and “bang-bang you’re dead” were banned; and for family life prior to “One Dad Two Dads Brown Dad Blue Dads.”

Then there is the importance of boundaries—between the private and the public, between adults and children, between experience and inexperience (the last should respect the first). Uncouth, uncivilized societies such as ours is becoming are typically without boundaries.

These things are extremely relative. The ancient Greeks considered the idea that it should be a shame to be seen nude strange and barbarous. There have been times and places in European history where women did not cover their breasts (or at least both breasts), though it was the exception, not the rule. If you walk around Vienna, you’ll see lots and lots of houses decorated with bare-breasted plaster women, usually built while Queen Victory reigned over England. Nowadays it’s acceptable in wide parts of Europe for a woman to be topless in a public bath. It’s not so much about boundaries, it’s more about fashion and conventions.

I can think of some other “healthy wholesome” activities that don’t need to be sold for our tykes to start developing expertise. Of course the envelope will continue to be pushed on this sort of thing. As I have often said nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste and judgement of the public. There was a time when the women of society were the stern arbiters of such things but I swear, the women are the biggest fools in the modern equation. A revolting development.

Last night, for some reason, my 14 year old told me about some of the conversations that she has had with her teenaged friends which entailed considerably more than I wanted to know. Things that guys talked among themselves in later teen years now get talked about in earlier years in co-ed conversations. What will things be like in 30 years – – 3 year olds in pre-school discussing “blow jobs”?

I wish I had some sort of “answer” to this cultural degeneration. The Islamic answer is Sharia and truck bombs. Leftist/gays/feminists want to use every public institution as an advocacy platform and American Christian fundamentalists now want to do the same in the opposite direction (so much for privacy). Hardly a week goes by without some politician caught in flagrante delicto:

And mass media is an orgy of licentious Peeping-Tomism. There are times where I think it might be better if my daughter were hideous looking but even that is no objection – back in 1976, a very ugly woman and her friend made it with 36 men and published graphic descriptions about it:

Well, my 92 year old blind Aunt with bone cancer doesn’t worry about it!
