California’s Queen Kamala Vs. The Soldier

Crime, Democrats, Elections, Justice

Kamala Harris has indicated that she couldn’t be bothered about Tulsi Gabbard’s criticism of her because the Hawaii congresswoman isn’t in her league.

Here are the fighting words of the congresswoman from Hawaii that raised Kamala’s hackles:

“Senator Harris says she’s proud of her record as a prosecutor and that she’ll be a prosecutor president.
“But I’m deeply concerned about this record. There are too many examples to cite but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana.
“She blocked evidence — she blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the state of California.”

Queen Kamala’s replied (to another queen, Anderson Cooper):

“This is going to sound immodest, but obviously I’m a top-tier candidate and so I did expect that I’d be on the stage and take some hits tonight,” Harris said. “When people are at 0 or 1% or whatever she might be at, so I did expect to take some hits tonight.”

Hopefully, there are some Democrat Deplorables out there who’ll see through— and reject—this loathsome politician. (“Loathsome” was Michael Medved’s apt appellation for for Kamala for leading the lynch mob against Alex Acosta.)

Can Patriots Please Quit The ‘Rest In Peace’ Catechism?

Crime, Criminal Injustice, Race, Racism

You know it; I know it. The murder of Tyler Wingate is one among many black-on-white slayings. And it is, undeniably, a kind of race-based annihilation of beauty unattainable, for that is certainly what poor Tyler Wingate was blessed with.

This phenomenon is covered in my book, “Into the Cannibal Pot: Lessons For America From Post-Apartheid South Africa.”

Another beautiful boy done in by pure savagery and the band just plays on? Where’s the rage?

And patriots, please quit the “rest in peace” platitudes. Rage, rage Tyler Wingate, from the grave.

A 24-year-old man from Berkley was brutally beaten to death after a seemingly minor car crash on Detroit’s west side early Monday morning. The crash and beating were caught on surveillance video from a nearby gas station. (Unz Review)

It should not be hard to apprehend the killer, seen so clearly on the clip. But he is still on the lam.

If Cops Won’t Defend themselves, How Likely Are They To Defend YOU?

Crime, Justice, Law, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim

CNN had reported that NYPD’s chief of department had scolded its policemen for passively taking abuse from hooligans. But Chief Monahan’s reprimand has been removed. Why!? It’s deserved!!!

The report was made by CNN’s Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon, who both approved of police passivity in the face of the assault.

Incidentally, someone at CNN seems to think the two’s sanctimonious banter time is something to encourage. If nothing else, the CNN exchanges between Cuomo and Lemon must give brainiacs, say at BBCNews, something to giggle about. These two are perhaps the dumbest act on TV.

To get a feel for how deeply stupid these two are, in this clip Don asks Chris in a grave tone, portending doom: “Is this getting to you?” Deep, man.

Neither man realizes that their elevated status is NOT due to their brain power.

In any case, both dummies rejoiced today that, in response to an assault on them, New York City’s finest did nothing; the cops just stood there happy to be bitch slapped.

If cops won’t defend themselves, how likely are they to defend YOU?

This is more like it:

A police supervisor who saw the videos lauded the Harlem officers for ignoring the jeers, but said the other cops should have been disciplined “for taking the abuse and doing nothing about it.”

An NYPD detective added that the department has become too soft in its effort to win back the trust and respect of various neighborhoods.

“These cops should have done something but they walked off like nothing happened,” the supervisor said. “I’m seeing red right now.”

Black Men In America Are Living Almost As Long As White Men

America, Crime, Healthcare, Race, Racism

With the constant complaints about the perils of being black in America, the following data will come as a surprise to some:

The chasm in life-expectancy that once existed [between blacks and whites] has nearly closed.

“Criminologists still do not know why violent crime and homicides began to decline [for blacks]in the mid-1990s. A wide array of theories have been proposed.” A strong contender: “mass incarceration actually working as intended.”

In fact, “the emergence of the opioid epidemic, which kills whites at higher rates than other races, has also hastened the racial convergence.”

BACK IN 1980 when Harlem was still a byword for poverty, criminality and the decline of New York City, black men in the neighbourhood had a worse chance of living to the age of 65 than men in Bangladesh did. At that time Harlem’s residents—almost all of them black, and many of them poor—died of heart disease at double the rate of whites. They died of liver cirrhosis, brought on by alcoholism or hepatitis, at ten times the rate of whites. And they were 14 times likelier to be murdered.

BUT,

… the persistent gap in life expectancy between whites and blacks has closed substantially, and is now at its narrowest ever. In 1900, … the life expectancy for black boys at birth was 32.5—14.1 years shorter than for white boys. Put another way, the typical black boy had 30% less life to live. Incremental progress, however fitful, was made for the next century, but epidemics of crack, HIV and urban violence threatened to reverse [progress]. By 1993, a peak year for violent crime, the life-expectancy gap between black and white men had widened again by nearly three years, to 8.5 years.

… But then it began a sustained, steady fall. In 2011 the black-white gap had narrowed to 4.4 years for men (5.7% less) and just 3.1 years (3.8% less) for women. Though progress then levelled off until 2016, the most recent year available from the CDC, the trend is stable and not reversing.

… A wide array of theories have been proposed: the eroding appeal of crack cocaine, mass incarceration actually working as intended, legalisation of abortion, less lead poisoning of children and the improving economy. But the public-health consequences are abundantly clear, particularly for black men who were and remain the most frequent victims of murder. …
