Rashida Tlaib Violates (Cohen) Hearing Rules, Suggests Republican Mark Meadows Is Racist

Culture, Democrats, Donald Trump, Etiquette, Race, Racism, Republicans

Congress is increasingly occupied by rubbish—the kind of representative who is constitutionally incapable of honoring timeworn rules of etiquette.

At the Michael Cohen testimony before Congress, a smug and smarmy attack dog, Rashida Tlaib, alighted on Rep. Mark Meadows.

With no warning, rabid Rashida accused him of the possibility of racism. Why so? Because the Republican had brought HUD official Lynne Patton along to the hearing earlier on Wednesday:

“Just to make a note, Mr. Chairman, just because someone has a person of color, a black person working for them, doesn’t mean they aren’t racist. And it is insensitive that some would even say — the fact that someone would actually use a prop, a black woman, in this chamber, in this committee, is alone racist in itself,” Tlaib said.

Meek Meadows, being a Republicans, folded, instead of rubbing Rashida’s nose it in.

Fabulous FLOTUS Floats Like A Butterfly AND Stings Like A Bee

Conflict, Donald Trump, Etiquette, Family

Hooray. First Lady Melania Trump shows her political chops. FLOTUS floats like a butterfly, and stings like a bee, to parrot Muhammad Ali.

Melania got angry at Mira Ricardel—some rude, disruptive underling, also a top national security official—and took action:

The first lady’s anger stemmed from a dust-up between Ricardel and the East Wing over an October trip to Africa, when Ricardel allegedly threatened to undermine the trip after learning she didn’t have a seat on the plane. Melania Trump’s staff also came to suspect that Ricardel was responsible for unflattering stories about the first lady, people familiar with the matter said.

Next, perhaps Melania will fire Jared and Ivanka for us Deplorables?

‘Just Sit Down’: POTUS Stands Up For Civility, Firmly Accosts Out-of-Control Jim Acosta

Democrats, Donald Trump, Etiquette, Journalism

“CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them,” Trump said. “You are a rude, terrible person. You shouldn’t be working for CNN.”

Trump added that the way [Jim] Acosta had treated Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was “awful.”

The president then moved to address the next questioner

(NBC News)

Trump had acted as magnificently before.

I had previously commented on “Trump’s firm, forthright, masterful control” in similar situations, observing that when Trump takes control of the media scrum, he is doing something much more fundamental.

As I pointed out in “The Trump Revolution: The Donald’s Creative destruction Deconstructed,” and before it:

As this writer sees it, Trump was doing something much more modest and more valuable.

Common rules of procedure are as traditionally Anglo-American as they come. Instinctively did an ethnic agitator seek to sack a common American custom. As reflexively, Donald Trump moved to restore a timeless, civilizing practice.

American Rabbis Practice Pop Judaism, For The Most

Christianity, Etiquette, Judaism & Jews, Pop-Culture, Religion

America’s rabbis are mostly dumb, eschatologically and generally. I wouldn’t take seriously anything they say about President Donald Trump.

Not unlike their Christian compatriots in the ministry and the priesthood—rabbis are generally an unscholarly lot, more inclined to pop-religion and social justice.

Like their Christian friends, rabbis aim to bring religion in line with self-help literature and common leftist spiritual and political hobbyhorses and quests.

Thus, you have this silly “‘Rabbi,” who, “At a Mike Pence Rally, Thinks Jews Who Deny Christ Go To Hell.”

It’s simply untrue, from the perspective of Judaism. Judaism considers Yehoshua, aka Yeshu, aka Jesus Christ, a prophet, not part of a Godhead (which we don’t have). Thus, there is no punishment of hell for giving the cold shoulder to a prophet.

On the other hand, other Jewish leaders acted ungraciously, even disgracefully, in snubbing President Trump, on his visit to grieving Pittsburgh on Tuesday afternoon:

Shameful. You don’t reject a show of mercy and compassion.

A mourning family doesn’t want to meet him. Leaders of his own party declined to join him. The mayor has explicitly asked him not to come. Protesters have mobilized. And yet President Trump visited this grief-stricken city Tuesday, amid accusations that he and his administration continue to fuel the anti-Semitism that inspired Saturday’s massacre inside a synagogue. …
