UPDATE II (12/15/018): Ambassador Richard Grenell Sets The Immigration Debate Back On Tucker’s Show

Conservatism, Europe, Homeland Security, IMMIGRATION, Nationhood

There wasn’t a plan. There was no Plan. It wasn’t implemented with a Plan.

Over and over did U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell repeat those words, on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show. His goal was clearly to reinforce the long-held safe position on immigration into the West. So long as it’s legal and there’s A Plan, it’s all good.

The only problem Grenell sees with Angela Merkel’s opening Germany to the influx of 1 million Muslims from North Africa and the Middle East was that … there was no plan, whatever that means. The implication: were there a plan, whatever that means, there would be no issue.

But there was A Plan. The Plan was to import 1 million Muslims and teach the German people about values à la Brussels.

Richard Grenell, no different to Rush Limbaugh, in his stated opinion about immigration, has a plan to stay on the side of the angels. Continue to support the influx of 2 million immigrants into the US, annually, since they are legal. Legal immigration will not change the country in bad ways; only the illegal variety does this.

Yes, that’s an unbelievably dumb position. I know.

The exclusive emphasis on border security and legality in the immigration debate is the conservative scoundrel’s bid for respectability.

Open-border advocates are helped immeasurably by the Grenells of this world. Everyone (and his dog) currently concurs that we have no problem with legal immigration, only with the illegal variety. It’s now mandatory to pair an objection to the invasion of the American Southwest with an embrace of all forms of legal immigration. The sole emphasis on border security has, in all likelihood, entrenched the status quo. Americans will never assert their right to determine the nature of the country they live in and, by extension, the kind of immigrants they welcome. The security risk newcomers pose and The Plan to absorb them are the only permissible topics for conversation.

You have to have a Plan, a heart, remain open to lots of immigrants. So long as they’re legal. That’s the safe position.

Tucker Carlson’s position, when he sticks to it, has been that a country is allowed to determine who lives in it and whether it needs a break from the incessant influx because, hey, diversity is killing us as a people.

UPDATE I:

How does Grenell propose to deal with the hate crimes against little German children at school, from aggressive, empowered Arab kids, whose culture is comfortable with such displays of power? What’s the Plan?

Posse Comitatus? You’re Being Told That America Doesn’t Have Borders, So No Law Can Defend Her

Federalism, Homeland Security, IMMIGRATION, Law, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim, Military, Neoconservatism, Secession, States' Rights

The 1878 Posse Comitatus Act: It’s the excuse parroted by almost everybody, Republicans included, for lack of vigorous military action against invaders on the border.

It took Ann Coulter to point out the obvious: “You can’t shoot … AMERICANS. You can shoot invaders.”

What on earth is The US Army for?

In effect, what you’re being told is, there is no law that’ll defend American borders.’

Or, America doesn’t have borders. Therefore, there is no law that can defend a de facto and de jure borderless country. And certainly some laws even prohibit a defense of America’s borders.

In truth, and according to the Congressional Research Service, as relayed by the Military Times, the Act means that “the U.S. military is not used to control or defeat American citizens on U.S. soil.

The hordes amassed on the border with Mexico, rushing the port of entry in San Ysidro, Calif., are not Americans. They are not even very nice.

Posse Comitatus sets “limitation against active-duty U.S. forces conducting law enforcement on U.S. soil,” but watch how quickly military force will be used “to suppress insurrection or to enforce federal authority.”

Feeling free?

UPDATES: Simple Guide To Future Trump Cabinet Picks. Very Simple.

Donald Trump, Family, Government, Homeland Security, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim

I liked the ice princess, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, whom Trump is about to remove, or so the rumor goes.

Nielsen talked tough (very tough) and smart, and has a cool temperament and looks to match. In her favor, too: Nielsen had been brought into the Trump Administration by a fine man, retired United States Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly, now White House Chief of Staff.

Here goes: If the liberal, First-Couple-in-waiting, Ivanka and Jared Kushner, are behind or favor a future appointment, it’s bad. The two certainly have been gunning for White House Chief of Staff Kelly for a long time, as I warned on February 15, 2018.

UPDATES:

“Sessions was the most important member of Trump’s cabinet.”

“Heather Mac Donald said she has ‘no confidence’ that the president will stop being advised by his daughter, Ivanka Trump, on the issue of immigration.” Been saying it all along. Ivanka is poison.

“Sessions was the only member of the Trump administration that was ‘absolutely staunch in speaking up for the right of Americans to determine what the character of their country should be.’”

“There’s no one left with any understanding ‘how mass, unchecked, illegal immigration is hurting the working class of this country and transforming our culture possibly beyond recall.’ Heather Mac Donald.”

UPDATE II (10/30): The Caravans Cometh, Making America Great No More

Crime, Culture, Donald Trump, Homeland Security, IMMIGRATION, South-Africa

NEW COLUMN is “The Caravans Cometh, Making America Great No More.” It’s currently on Townhall.com, WND.com, the Unz Review, and American Greatness

An excerpt:

The latest “caravan” community planning to crash borderless America is not part of Latin America’s problems; it’s escaping them. So say America’s low-IQ media.

And Latin America’s problems are legion.

The region, “which boasts just eight percent of the world’s population, accounts for 38 percent of its criminal killing.” Last year, the “butcher’s bill … came to around 140,000 people … more than have been lost in wars around the world in almost all of the years this century. And the crime is becoming ever more common.”

So writes the Economist earlier this year, in an exposé aimed at “shining light on Latin America’s homicide epidemic.”

As is generally the case with this august magazine, the shoe-leather journalism is high-IQ, but the deductions drawn therefrom positively retarded.

Tucked into these frightening facts about a killer culture is a timid admission: The Problem—Latin America’s murder trends—could be exported to the neighbors.

How? Do tell. By osmosis? Perhaps by “caravan”? Liberal louts never say.

By the by—and just so you know—Latin America’s crisis of crime “has been mounting.” El Salvador, for instance, had the highest murder rate in the world: 81 to 100,000. By the early 2010s, “the bloodshed in some cities had reached a pitch.”

Referred to by demographers also as a “youth bulge,” this “demographic bulge” is the crème de la crème comprising the caravans. Their exodus is from the slum-dog cities of Latin American, where the crime is heavily concentrated, and where “people are crowded into … shantytowns and favelas.

Our young, strong caravanners hail from a culture of “extortion gangs,” “drug-trafficking,” badly trained, “often corrupt” police and prosecutors, marred by general “institutional weaknesses.”

War-like conditions in their countries force “Latin American governments [to] spend an average of five percent of their budgets on internal security—twice as much as developed countries.”

Since I reported on El Salvador’s murder rate … a paragraph or two back, the murder rate in that country has “rocketed to 104 per 100,000 people.”

Such is the power of the war lords there, that stationing “soldiers on the streets” and throwing “thousands of gang members into prison” only served to increase crime.

Only— and only—when government offered bribes to “El Salvador’s three main gangs” did murders halve “almost overnight.” The government gave “imprisoned leaders luxuries like flat-screen televisions and fried chicken if they would tell their subordinates to stop killing each other.”

But then “the gangs began to see violence as a bargaining tool,” and the peace died. …

UPDATE II (10/30.018):

Writes Steven Green, Townhall.com reader:

I haven’t seen such honesty in one article in a long time. I am also delighted that the author did not take a cheap shot at President Trump simply to claim the non existent high ground of most commentators even some conservative ones. ?
