The Great Gottfried On Mark Levin, ‘Republican Journalist’

Conservatism, Donald Trump, Neoconservatism, Old Right, Republicans, War

Like his work or not (I love it); in Dr. Paul Gottfried you have a deep, analytical mind. This is one of the reasons “conservatism, Inc.” dislikes Gottfried so. He’s not mediocre.

The feelings are mutual.

An ode to broadcaster Mark Levin, written by David Limbaugh (“Mark Levin’s ‘Rediscovering Americanism'”), elicited this reaction from Gottfried:

I find this stuff nauseating. It’s like we’re dealing with a deep philosophical mind in Levin, a modern Aristotle or Kant. I don’t dislike his political comments but Levin is a Republican journalist–and very little else.

Totally (as Meghan McCain would say).

Didn’t Mark Levin hate Trump when we Deplorables were for him? Now Levin supports the president for reasons we advanced two years ago.

In this soliloquy against Progressivism, on Hannity, Levin “forgot” to mention that progressives believe in Abe Lincoln, The Greatest Centralizer of all times, and SO DOES HE.

The other day, the Drudge news website was shilling for Levin and another broadcaster, Eric Bolling. Both have published new books. And that’s not Fake News?

Do yourself a favor and read all things Gottfried (his latest is “Revisions and Dissents: Essays”).

TWEETS RELATED TO CONSERVATISM ICK:

All wars when waged by a Republican are great.

No criticism allowed of the above.

I supported Trump but why the hell would that stop an honest writer from exposing his follies? A ditto-head could tell you.

Hypocrites all.

Killing while GOP.

President Trump Channeling Hillary On Syria

Donald Trump, Foreign Policy, Middle East, Neoconservatism

The conflict in Syria is regional, ancient and, when all is said and done, impervious to outside, top-down reordering and interventions.
Doug Bandow in Chronicles:

Donald Trump campaigned on an “America First” foreign policy. But he hasn’t been immune to the vapors of the Swamp. Not even three months after his inauguration, administration officials were praising NATO; affirming commitments to Japan and South Korea; discussing troop surges for Afghanistan; talking about permanently stationing forces in Iraq, increasing aid for Saudi Arabia’s war against Yemen, and effecting regime change in Syria. It was as if Hillary Clinton occupied the President’s body.
Trump’s flip-flop on Syria was particularly shocking. Before the dawn of the Neoconservative Age no sane American would have suggested intervening in the horror that this ancient land has become.

… The Syrian conflict quickly turned into a proxy war: The U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the other Gulf states pushed for Assad’s ouster, while Iran (including Afghan and Iraqi militias under Tehran’s command), Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and Russia supported the Damascus government. Turks and Saudis were pleased to work with the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra (the Support Front), which was the local Al Qaeda affiliate; meanwhile, Washington actively battled ISIS while tolerating al-Nusra. True to form, Ankara viewed Kurdish militias (allied with Washington) as the most dangerous faction and focused its malign military attention on them….

Remind me:

Islam in early America:

Republicans Will Regret Celebrating Robert Mueller As Savior (And Other Stuff)

Conservatism, Donald Trump, Foreign Policy, John McCain, Neoconservatism, Republicans

*Joe Lieberman, at the top of President Trump’s list of potential FBI directors, is a neoconservative.
*Republicans will regret celebrating a life-long, Deep-State operative as a savior.
* And, who will stand by the plucky Kurds?

Trump Today (5/18): A Nod To Neocon Joe Lieberman & The Mythologizing Of Mueller

Donald Trump, Intelligence, John McCain, Neoconservatism, The State, War

POTUS had edged closer to picking Joe Lieberman, John McCain’s evil twin, to direct the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The old “I saw into his heart and it was good” balderdash. They bonded. Silly me. I had imagined that candidate Trump had “bonded” with the American people and would remember their wishes once THEY MADE HIM president.

Lieberman and America First: never the twain shall meet.

Lieberman is a neoconservative by any other name, committed to McCain’s national-greatness through perpetual war.

Next, Republicans are either seriously dumb or serious about wanting to end the Trump presidency and promise (although the two GOP facets are not mutually exclusive). They’ve joined the Democrats in mythologizing “former FBI director Robert Mueller as special counsel in charge of the FBI’s investigation into Russian attempts to influence the 2016 election,” a synonym for killing the Trump presidency. The president, or course, has done his fair share of that.

Ultimately Mueller is Deep State, he’s always been Managerial State material, heart and mind.

Mueller thinks like those unelected bureaucrats, intelligence officers and military men seeking to unelect Donald Trump think.
