Obama Obfuscates On Ebola

Barack Obama, Healthcare, Propaganda, Pseudoscience, Science

As a former HIV/AIDS volunteer counselor in South Africa, it is my never-humble opinion that comparing Ebola to HIV/AIDS amounts to politically correct theatre. For one thing, it is not easy to contract the human immunodeficiency virus. For another, the virus is relatively fragile outside the host. Viral load or titer factors into the chances of transmission. And it is both easy and cheap to prevent transmission. AIDS infection rates in Africa have nothing to do with lack of resources but, rather, with unprotected sex irrespective of ample education.

Ebola is the exact opposite. It is not difficult to get. The virus doesn’t easily destruct outside the body. In West Africa, in particular, it is difficult to stop an Ebola epidemic because of magical thinking and a lack of infrastructure.

Front men for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have obfuscated plenty about Ebola. However, Dr. Barack Obola, who should get that growing proboscis checked out, takes the cake. The president has managed to dispense Ebola advice in direct contradiction to even the CDC’s breezy platitudes.

“You cannot get it through casual contact like sitting next to someone on a bus. … Ebola is not spread through the air like the flu. … You cannot get it from another person until they start showing symptoms of the disease, like fever. … cannot get it from someone who’s asymptomatic.” (CNSNews & Hot Air)

The CDC’s website, as opposed to its media representatives, provides the correct information, distilled by Hot Air:

Casual transmission in close quarters in public spaces is possible.
Spending “a long amount of time” within three feet of an infected person is risky, a scenario that logically includes a long bus ride.
A spokesman for the CDC told the LA Times recently that “I’m not going to sit here and say that if a person who is highly viremic … were to sneeze or cough right in the face of somebody who wasn’t protected, that we wouldn’t have a transmission.” Well, there you go. If there’s a risk of transmission on a plane, why wouldn’t there be a risk of transmission on a bus?

Panetta’s Permissible Critique Of The President

Barack Obama, Critique, Intelligence, Left-Liberalism And Progressivisim

LEON PANETTA, FORMER DEFENSE SECRETARY & FORMER CIA DIRECTOR, has provided the left with a permissible critique of President Barack Obama. You just know that whatever it is that Panetta is saying about “Obola” is rather flattering when Gloria Borger, a promiscuous cheerleader for the president at CNN (and a complete idiot), takes time to plumb the Panetta critique, offered in a book, “Worthy Fights.”

Here’s what I mean (thanks, CNN, for the transcript; never stop offering it. Some of us prefer to read, not watch, news):

BORGER (voice-over): The portrait Panetta sketches of Barack Obama sometimes looks more like a professor than a president.

PANETTA: He relies on the logic of his presentation with the hope that ultimately people will embrace that logic and then do what’s right. You know what? In 50 years, my experience is, logic doesn’t work in Washington. You have to basically go after people and make them understand what they have to do. And that means you create a war room. You go after votes. You have to push people.

BORGER (on camera): So did you have a sense that the president found that distasteful or that it wasn’t something he wanted to do or was comfortable doing or —

PANETTA: I think it offended him that people would not really get serious and work on the issues. And I think, as a result of that, he just felt, how can I deal with people that simply don’t want to do the right thing for the country? Well, the reality is, if you want to govern in this country, you have to deal with people you don’t like.

[SNIP]

See what I mean?

Read “Barack Is As Thick As A Brick,” for he is. (“You Can’t Fix Stupid'” is instructive too.)

So long as one infers that the president’s misdeeds arise because he levitates above mere mortals in his idealism and intelligence—your safe. Panetta has provided people with a safe case against Obama.

UPDATED: Both Bonking Moon and BHO Affirm Islam (Still, ‘ISIS Is Islam’)

Barack Obama, Islam, UN

I am unable to retrieve the exact comments of the UN’s Bonking Moon about Islam, but they were of a piece with BHO’s. Both the United Nations general secretary, whom the New York Times calls Mr. Ban (derived from Ban Ki-Moon), and the US’s Barack Obama made sure to affirm Islam in their respective addresses to the United Nations General Assembly, September 24, 2014. Asserted Obama:

“… we have reaffirmed that the United States is not and never will be at war with Islam. Islam teaches peace. Muslims the world over aspire to live with dignity and a sense of justice. And when it comes to America and Islam, there is no us and them – there is only us, because millions of Muslim Americans are part of the fabric of our country.”

The thesis of Samuel P. Huntington, author of “The Clash of Civilizations,” BHO, it would appear, dismisses with one sentence: “we reject any suggestion of a clash of civilizations.”

The goods on Islam:

* ISIS, as caliphate, is permitted to wage offensive Jihad by Islamic law.
* ISIS is practicing “purification Jihad”; the murders are for the expulsion of “hypocrites” (those who collaborate with the enemy) and apostates (Shiite).
* Islam does not forbid killing Muslims: If one becomes a Muslim and one commits adultery, leaves the faith or kills another Muslim—the offender can be killed.

MORE.

As I have written, “ISIS is Islam.”

UPDATED: An All-American Boy, Terminated By Trash, Unmentioned By Trash (BHO Speaks. Not)

Barack Obama, Crime, Islam, Jihad, Media, Race, Racism, Terrorism

“A nineteen year old, suburban boy. Strawberry blond, athletic, bright and smiley. … When I look at this picture of Brendan Tevlin,” writes Martha MacCallum, for the Fox News Insider, “I think, he could have been my son.”

Brendan Tevlin was murdered in suburban America by a Jihadi, as he drove home to mom. A precious boy’s death at the hands of the detritus of humanity did not rate a mention by the moron media.

MacCallum writes from the heart. Her lede hints at a president that saw fit to tell the nation that he identified with the Trayvon Martins of the world, not the Tevlins.

MacCallum’s plainspoken column reaches deeper than the convoluted fare of most. From her perch at Fox News, the anchor can’t be expected to go further and state that Barack Obama has often demonstrated he is the president of black America; cares most about things African (he’s sending the military to degrade Ebola).

UPDATE (9/19): Breathe a sign of relief. The president of black America has felt your pain. Not.
No, Barack Obama has not mentioned the blonde, blue-eyed boy who died by ugly, malevolent Muslim. He did, however, convey his dismay over “the footage of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee.” Or so White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough told NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday that.
