Ebony And Ivory Did Not Come Together In Perfect Criminality

Crime, Criminal Injustice, Ethics, Journalism, Media, Race

During their reporting on the Navy Yard shooting in the capital, today, media made frequent mention of a white culprit, who was supposed to have assisted shooter Aaron Alexis.

For one hopeful moment, mass media seemed to have held out hope that the dastardly deed, in which 12 people were killed, was a product of a collaboration between a black and a white man.

Via Policymic:

“…the deputy mayor for public safety stated that one previously identified person of interest, who was previously described as white male wearing a tan military uniform, is no longer a suspect.”

Misidentified hastily by the likes of NBC’s Chuck Todd, poor Navy lieutenant Rollie Chance was soon ruled out as a suspect.

The New York Magazine confirms, however, that “Police continue to seek a black male between 40 and 50 years old with gray sideburns for questioning.”

Alas, media hopes were dashed. Ebony and ivory did not come together in perfect criminality.

UPDATE II: Dropped Into The Black Hole Of Disinformation

Crime, Criminal Injustice, Media, Objectivism, Race, Racism, Reason

“Dropped Into The Black Hole Of Disinformation” is the latest column, now on WND. Some excerpts:

“There is no clear motive for why the murder happened,” a CNN reporter chanted robotically, in what has been for as long as I can remember SOP (standard operating procedure) in major media. Whenever a black murders a white—which is four times more often than the reverse—the salient features of the crime disappear into a black hole of disinformation.

By salient features I mean, in the main, information pertaining to the skin color of the perpetrator and victim, and the extraordinary brutality with which the villain typically goes about exterminating his victim.

Overkill is the word I’m looking for.

Observe the face of hate (Curtis Lavelle Vance’s) and the object of Vance’s hatred, news anchor Anne Pressly, of blessed memory. Then read the details of Vance’s assault on Pressly. Pressly’s pale, pretty face Vance pounded to an unrecognizable pulp. The killer aimed, very plainly, to annihilate her.

All too often submerged as well is the exquisite vulnerability of victims of unrecognized racial hatred.

Of this particular stark element, however, it was impossible to strip the murder of baby Antonio Santiago. …

… Trust the police in the evergreen and always pinko state to finesse the murder of a white veteran [Delbert Belton, 88, from Spokane, in Wash] by blacks with assurances that it was “a random attack.” Robbery was the sole motive in Belton’s murder.

These assurances were offered up by Spokane Police Chief Frank Straub. Not that anyone in the pinko state and beyond paused to ask, but why, if the beating of Belton was motivated by greed or need only, did the perpetrators proceed to pulverize grandpa’s face with “big heavy flashlights”?

Elementary, my dear Watson.

The boys in blue from the pink state may not be there to defend you when your turn comes, but they can be trusted to ennoble your killers.

The old man, explained the stupid Straub, “fought back against his attackers, and that may have contributed to the severity of the beating his received.”

Do you get Straub’s drift? Unless they state otherwise, goons of color harbor only the purest of motives when gunning for honky.

Since he was being interviewed by national media, Straub quickly expressed his commitment not to protecting Spokane residents from such killers, but to “institu[ting] a mentoring program” for the likes of Delbert Belton’s killers.

Mark Griffiths, another genius from the Spokane Police, seconded that “there was no indication that [the 88-year-old WWII veteran] would have known these people prior to the assault.” Ergo, the motive was robbery.

In non sequitur land, strangers do not harbor hate, and criminals do not multitask—in other words, never do they rob people while simultaneously acting out their darkest desires. (And, by logical extension, the Nazis, who killed millions of strangers, could not have been motivated both by hate and greed.)

Au contraire. “These people” – the barbarians who blattered the veteran who’d survived the Battle of Okinawa – knew quite a bit about Belton … by the color of his skin.

As did Mona Yvette Nelson “know” Jonathan Paul Foster was The One she would kidnap, torture and torch. Nelson “knew” Foster from … his fair, white skin and red hair. …

Ilana, you are a national treasure. I have forwarded this to my contacts, as I almost always do. It is quite a coincidence that I had only hours ago sent you the fictional “letter” from the little boy who was shot in the face (murdered) because he and his mother were white.

UPDATE II: Oprah’s An Idiot (Hatred Imbibed With Mother’s Milk)

Celebrity, Crime, Law, Media, Race, Racism, Reason

Oprah Winfrey, who has been silent about the shooting of Sherry West’s 13-month old baby—and all of the other most common hate crimes (for, “In the real America, interracial violence is overwhelmingly black-on-white”)—was vocal in comparing the slaying, in self-defense, of Treyvon Martin (black) by George Zimmerman (Hispanic) to the grisly murder of Emmett Till by whites in Mississippi, over half a century ago (1955).

Let Professor Jonathan Turley, a liberal civil libertarian, tutor Oprah in the facts of the State of Florida v. George Zimmerman.

• While many have criticized Zimmerman for following Martin, citizens are allowed to follow people in their neighborhood.
• It was also lawful for Zimmerman to be armed.
• The question comes down to who started the fight and whether Zimmerman was acting in self-defense.
• Various witnesses said Martin was on top of Zimmerman and said they believed that he was the man calling for help. Zimmerman had injuries. Not serious injuries but injuries from the struggle. …
• A juror could not simply assume Zimmerman was the aggressor. After 38 prosecution witnesses, there was nothing more than a call for the jury to assume the worst facts against Zimmerman without any objective piece of evidence. That is the opposite of the standard of a presumption of innocence in a criminal trial.

Above all, Travyon Martin was not tortured. Rather, as overwhelming evidence showed, Martin might have been planning on doing the torturing himself.

UPDATE I: FACEBOOK THREAD: Oprah didn’t trivialize the death of ET; she was wrong on the facts and the logic, ergo an idiot. People just love feeling good about themselves by weeping forever over crimes that happened decades ago and have no relevance today, other than to keep alive the racial “grievance industry.”

UPDATE II (8/27): Hatred Imbibed With Mother’s Milk. (Via Robert Glisson on Facebook.)

Question: What mother trusts her baby to this lot? One raised by your typical, white, liberal-minded American, who believes that because she harbors no racial animus; others feel the same. Fine. Be stupid. But why toy with your tot?

Train The Cameras On Police And First Responders

Crime, Economy, Fascism, Free Markets, Government, Law, Private Property, The State

Police and state-employed firefighters must be tethered electronically by video cams. The cameras worn on the helmets of weaponized government workers—they have enormous license to use their weapons—serve to keep them accountable. Business (say, free-market firefighters hired by an insurer) already polices its workforce, as it is in the business of pleasing, not killing, those it serves. Preventing fraud and abuse on the job is integral* to the job. (Guess why.) When will people get that the incentives that are at work in private property are missing from state-run systems?

Twelve or so minutes into “The Five” on Fox News, a heated airhead debate ensued over the suggestion of removing cameras from the helmets of cops and first responders. Airhead Bob Beckel said cameras must go. Kimberly Guilfoyle (not an airhead, but a bona fide statist) agreed. Poor Dana Ditz. She got it right but by default. She wants to give the boys in blue all the power in the world “to protect us.” Because Dana Ditz can’t reverse a situation in her not-so-nimble mind, she failed to see that cops filming also means cops being filmed, and abuses more likely exposed. (* Today, our Dana discovered the word “integral.” But in pronouncing it, she placed the emphasis incorrectly on the second syllable. Here’s the right way to say “integral.”)

Remember the only victim of the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash, last month? She was killed not by the crash, but by our brave first responders.

FSGate:

The San Francisco Fire Department supervisors who took charge of the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash scene were not alerted by firefighters that a 16-year-old passenger had been found near the plane, leaving them powerless to prevent the girl from being run over by a rig after she was covered by fire-retardant foam, footage of the incident shows.

In the case of state employees, the incentive is absent to be really, really, really careful. After all, responsibility for damages and deaths is collectivized; taxpayers pick up the tab; lawmakers enact laws that shield the perp from responsibility, even protecting identities. (That’s why I say name and shame the pimps at TSA.)

Film them. The many good cops won’t mind
